What part of the "truth" that Theon witnessed would be enough to convict Ramsey?

If we are going to apply our present day laws to argue that Sansa was raped, or we going to start calling Margaery a rapist as well. By our laws, there is no arguing that she raped Tommen. Rape is rape, right?

Link?
Here's the whole scene:
quote:
Ramsey - Are you pleased, my lady? Good.
I want you to be happy.
(sighs) My father said you're still a virgin.
Sansa - Uh, yes.
Ramsey - Why? Why are you still a virgin? Afraid of dwarves?
Sansa - Lord-- Lord Tyrion was kind.
He was gentle.
He never touched me.
Ramsey - You're not lying to me?
Sansa - No, my lord.
Ramsey - Lying to your husband on his wedding night, that would be a bad way to start a marriage.
We're man and wife now.
We should be honest with each other.
Don't you think?
Sansa - Yes.
Ramsey - Good.
Take off your clothes.
(To Theon) Oh, no, no, no.
You stay here, Reek.
You watch.
(To Sansa) Do I need to ask a second time? I hate asking a second time.
Reek I told you to watch.
You've known Sansa since she was a girl.
Now watch her become a woman.

no, y'all just under the assumption that we think LF would've just let her say no. that really doesn't matter because she said yes and that's the relevant part of our stance
I'm just under the assumption that Sansa has even basic reasoning skills. Sansa has seen what happens to people who even slightly inconvenience LF. So LF takes Sansa 800 miles North and then finally tells her about his actual plans? No, Sansa knew from the start this wasn't an option to leave, but LF just calmed her down saying that they would get vengeance on the Boltons. If Sansa had completely refused, LF would have likely gotten violent. Plus I think LF helped butter it up a bit by telling Sansa he'd be there for her, but he's not, and then he finds out that Ramsay is even more sadistic and cruel than Joffrey. If LF cared about Sansa and valued her opinion, he would have told her in the Vale before they even left. LF just looks at Sansa as some sort of prize, and that's it.

Sooo...we charge him with RAPE because he didn't have cable and didn't watch the previous episodes on HBO so he could KNOW that Sansa was not really willing.
HOWEVER, I fear that when we get him to court, he will demand a 'Trial by Combat' and name a skilled "champion" to fight for him.
So, he'd probably be acquitted, anyway
silliness

She's already in the North and LF didn't bother to lay out the details until the last possible moment. LF would have physically beaten her if she refused, and she knew it. Sansa is much smarter than most people give her credit for.

If she would've said no when he told her to bend over the bed, what do you think he would've done? Heck, if she would've said no when Roose asked her if she'd take Ramsey as his wife during the marriage ceremony, what do yo think would've happened to her?
Look, saying its rape or not rape doesn't change the fact that she was sexually, and probably more importantly, psychologically abused. Legally (according to Westeros laws), she did not get raped. She knew the position she was in, and knew that she had to let it happen. That doesn't mean she wanted it to happen, nor did she have a choice at that moment in the bedroom (or the wedding ceremony for that matter). Ramsey was screwing with her mind the whole time, while he was screwing her while she bit the pillow. It was a bad night for her all of the way around.

quote:yeah, people are claiming rape because they don't like ramsay and are privy to more info than he is. just looking at the situation by itself and ignoring everything else, from ramsay's point of view it can't be considered rape.
