If you want to stop reading back and forth bitching and relive episode 9 via tweet, here's your chance. LINK Winter is Coming Retweet (caution: these are reposts from twitter so there are some spoilers, do not read if you haven't read the books and care about being spoiled)

We want an explanation of something when we ask for it. Not when you bookies feel like making comparisons to book vs show or wanna jibber jabber about so and so being your favorite character in book 2 or 3 or 4.
Sooo you want us here to answer questions that you might not know from out book reading experience, but you don't want us discussing or comparing book to show at all in this thread? Since you take this so seriously and are being such a bitch about it, making fun of the "nerds", etc, I'm tempted just to ruin these threads by posting as many spoilers as I can, but I won't simply because I don't want to ruin it for others.

frick people
Is it really that complicated? Just please do not post spoilers, or even hint about things to come. This is why I proposed to keep the book talk out of this thread all together, but alas, I'm obviously in the minority.
And FTR, I am currently reading the books as well.

No, honestly, I understand, and I'm fine with that. Since all of the bitching I've tried to stay out of mentioning books and all that. I just find it funny that she wants us here when she wants to know something she wants us here, then makes fun of the "nerds" who read the books. Just irritates me.

ease up
iluv is like family around here, and has been contributing here for a lot longer than most of you. She's just kidding a bit with the nerds comment, no need to get so defensive
granted, I personally am giving drivebydouchbag a hard time, but that's more to do with me having fun with the mentally unstable
there is no real easy solution here, as what is/is not a "spoiler" is somewhat subjective, and not clearly defined. We have a popular TV show based off a book that's immensely popular, a script (that as far as I can tell) follows the book very very closely, it's probably not that easy to separate the two, especially when the non-book readers are asking for a little clarification or background info.
Personally, I think everyone to date in this thread has done an excellent job of not leaking out story info too soon. There may have been a couple inadvertent nipple-slips but nothing so egregious that it calls for wrist slapping. Regardless, I think we should keep everything in this thread as is, the season is nearly complete, we've got an entire year to figure out how we want to approach S02

I'm with you.
I've stayed out of this thread for quite a few months. I asked yesterday in the other thread and was told that there would be no spoilers here and already I've read hints on where the characters would be going.
I'm out of here.

Take away Willow's wand and Tyrion beats his arse.

My take away is that we have nerds and illiterates.
We've discussed some of our favorite characters, what about least favorite?
For me it's Joffrey, Catelyn, Sansa and that bloody septa. Don't like Jaime or Cersei, although Jamie can be funny sometimes (the things I do for love - wait, wrong quote).
Is Lord Frey the same guy who was the janitor on Harry Potter? Seeing Lord Frey on screen is creepier than reading about him. That poor girl married to him.
Thought Maester Aemon (spelling) did a good job of talking with Jon. Pretty good performance IMO.
Oh yeah, don't like Lord Tywin either.
Did anyone else think they short-changed Tyrion on the battle scene? The hill folk were running all over him.
I've hooked both my wife and dad on the series, both are still pissed about Ned.

Yes.
Also, you don't like alot of people.

I like Lord Lannister a lot in the book and the show, he is just a man who wants whats best for his family no matter the cost. A respectable trait in my opinion.
