I'm guessing we will see Hodor next episode.

Next week looks like we will see some badassery from Jon.

Loved the scene where Bran's direwolf just rips up some arse.

while Tyrion was smacking Joffery around. I haven't read the books but I can see where the kid is absolutely an insufferable bastard.

I beginning to think that seeing the Stark's on screen will make me realize that they are all whiny insufferable bastards...

Ned: Whiny and oblivious...but he pulls it off with that brooding air.

Robb: Stupid...whiny

Sansa: Vapid...whiny

Bran: Whiny and a cripple

Rickon: Well he's three...whiny (And where the frick is he?)

Arya: Well...she wants to be a boy, and is always bithcing about her sister.

Catelyn Tully: SUPER WHINY BITCH

Jon Snow...I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The Starks have never been my favorite characters. That honor is currently taken by the brothers Lannister.

She's incredibly intuitive. She consistently guesses endings of movies she's never seen. It is almost aggravating, hopefully she helps me la noire lol.

Clearly, I'm awesome. There's really no need to brag.

Game of Thrones- Season Long Thread (Newbie Guide in First Post) AWESOME EPISODE I am a little disappointed in the Direwolves. In the books they are huge, like 1/2 the size of a horse.

I don't think they are full grown yet. The dead one they showed (the mom) was huge

I'm a little disappointed we didn't see Ghost at all in this episode. Surely he was traveling with Jon.

When they showed a group shot of Jon's group traveling to the wall I thought I saw a white wolf with them.

this is directed at no one in particular but stop with the letter stuff! i try to look away every time is see possible spoilers. Im only 1/3 through the first book.

second, Is it possible for Cersei to make a different facial expression? just one time? she's annoying as hell

That scene was hilarious, and showed that people know Jofffrey is an entitled, sniveling conniver. That's why I hated the last scene. They've clearly shown that Ned's tomboy daughter is head strong and breaks the mold of demure royal kid. Why wasn't she screaming at the top of her lungs what actually happened vs. just calling Joffrey and her older count sister out as liars? I get that if a dog attacks someone in society they're going to want it put down, but why does Baratheon want to appease his wife when he clearly doesn't give a frick about what she thinks..."hey, I know, Ned is the only guy I trust, I need his help above all to try to hold onto my power. Let's really demonstrate that he's my best friend, and kill the pet, who clearly had nothing to do with this, of his daughter, who I'm arranging to marry my sniveling son. Yeah, that's the ticket." It didn't seem to ring true to the character's motivations. Seemed like a cheap way to get the audience to hate the queen...you know, since we already hate her.

And if it is actually true to Baratheon's character, and he's just going to end up screwing Ned somehow please don't tell me that. I'd like to keep watching the rest of the season.

It's still only a theory so not technically a spoiler; hasn't been confirmed in the books

Like you said, it's meant for you to hate cersei and show how intolerable and cruel the lannisters can be.

But as much as he is annoyed by cersei, Robert is still going to listen to her a little. And yes Ned is Roberts best friend, but I also think it's meant to show that Robert is still king, regardless of the friendship.

Loved last night's episode. The first half of this book always reminds me why I hate Sansa and Cat.

I picked up another copy of Game of Thrones in the airport yesterday because mine is falling apart, and I'm surprised at how much they can just lift straight from the pages without any changes. While there must be some, I really don't think there will be any drastic changes.

The actress that they had cast as Nan died. I doubt we'll see her this season because of that. She was the one that did the voice over on one of the very first promo's, talking about the "Long Night".

They aged all the children by three years it looks like.

From what I remember, we've got Rickon at 6 instead of three, Robb and Jon at 17 instead of 14, and Bran at 10 instead of 7.

I think it was a good idea. There's a lot of stuff that happens in the book that is hard to imagine at the age they are, while it's much easier with just a few more years tacked on.

Great scene. This episode topped the premier for me. This is the first series since Spartacus that I am truly interested in and can't wait for the next installment. Did Bran awaken when the dire wolf pup was killed or was that just coincidence??? I was really hoping that the blonde and her slut slave were going to get it on
