Uncharted was more than solid. It had a National Treasure feel to it, without the bad hair piece.
SOA is legit. Only about 24 episodes so far, but I highly recommend it.
Is GOT going to introduce more "Main" characters, or have the main guys been introduced? Any more angelic leads coming our way?

The few characters who haven't been introduced that will play a role will be Littlefingers, Varys and Tywin Lannister as well as Samwell Tarly and Maester Aemon (they will come to play when Jon goes up to the wall). I will put their bios up on the first page soon. As far as hot chicks Dany and Cersei are it for now. I might be forgetting some people though.
It is hard for me to think sometimes because all the books blur together. I have trouble remembering what happens when at times.

Foul, you did a great job on the primer. Thanks for doing that. I think it could really help some folks with the basics.
The map and the family trees are great. Even those of you familiar with the series... check out the map... it's really well done.

Nice guide.
By some of the characters it states, "his / her direwolf is _____". What is that?

Any chance to copy the map into this thread? I'm blocked at work.

Each of the Stark children has a pet dire wolf. It's a REALLY big wolf.
Dire wolves are the symbol of the Stark family.
Some of the dire wolves are more important than others. The most important one is Ghost, the dire wolf of Jon Snow, who is Ned Stark's bastard son.

well done on the house/character breakdown. Kinda interesting how they put "Wylla" on the family tree like they did. The videos and tree should be a good reference guide.

Thanks I appreciate it. Yeah I agree that was interesting. I have a few more characters to do. I am going to try to put up a location guide as well.

Early ratings lower than expected.
quote:
According to data obtained by Vulture, GoT earned a 1.6 rating in Nielsen’s overnight household sample. By way of comparison, last September’s debut of Boardwalk Empire on HBO averaged a 2.8 rating in the overnights. Household ratings aren’t used much anymore, with most networks tending to look at overall viewership or demographic averages to gauge a program’s success. What’s more, because of HBO’s smaller distribution — it’s in about 28 million homes — household overnight ratings can vary substantially from the national total viewer figure. All of these caveats aside, down is down: Based on this snapshot of its performance, it’s clear GoT won’t come close to matching the nearly 5 million viewers who watched the Boardwalk Empire premiere in September.

It has got to be that they can ping your cable/sat box and see what is on at any given time. Not sure why they even rely on surveys.

That SUCKS. Damnit.
This is an extremely expensive production.

Official viewership numbers won't be out until tomorrow but those numbers, if true, could be disastrous. A lot is going to depend on selling it overseas, increase in HBO subscriptions, and fans coming on as the series moves along.

Nothing to panic over... unless the show just won't pick up steam.
A 1.6 rating equates to about 1.9 million viewers. True Blood's series premiere was 1.44 million viewers.
It's all going to be about demos here... and how ratings increase over the course of the series (hopefully).

The problem with HBO is no matter what the numbers are they will cancel a show for no reason. I would not place too much stock in the numbers just yet.

Does DVRing something count towards viewership, how does that work?

Also, many people had viewing parties for GOT, which I doubt happened for Boardwalk Empire or any other series. There were 11 people watching it at my house.
