Correct.

serious question, for those that hated the ending of GoT, what ending did you want?
Disclaimer.. I didn't care for the ending either. I was hoping for John and Daenerys to rule together.
I'll try and do a shortened version.
"The prince/princess that was promised." Kind of a crucial prophecy to the entire story. I mean this was built up for the entire series and then was casually just forgotten. To me, that's the most unforgiveable offense. It not only makes Jon's lineage and the fact that he was brought back to life not matter, or prophecy that Daenerys might be the princess not matter.
Melisandre's character became useless. Her prophecies in regards to Stannis, Jon and Dany all ended up meaning nothing. So seasons worth of building her character eventually led to her biggest moment being her lighting the fires for the Dothraki (which was immediately extinguished with their dumb attack) and then she just walks off and drifts away like that was her purpose in life.
Jamie. Not much needs to be said. he spends 2-3 seasons changing the person he was and drifting away from Cersei, has this incredible story arc, only to just last minute completely change and run to Cersei. Made no sense for his character. This is becoming a trend...
Arya was my favorite character in the books and the show. But you cant have her kill the Night King. If you do have her kill him, you have to have him and Jon go head to head at least a little. You cannot have that much build up, have an incredible episode like Hardhome, and then just leave it alone. Again, seasons worth of build up for nothing.
Dany, o Dany. I was a big Daenerys fan. But in the span of TWO EPISODES, she goes from a person that once locked up her dragons because Drogon killed a shepherd kid to someone that burned up a million people for pretty much no reason. Just fly to the tower and burn up Cersei. Why is she killing millions of people? I mean it makes no sense. So lets just completely change yet another character that was for 7 2/3 seasons someone completely different.
Drogon understands the symbolism that it wasnt Jon that killed Dany, it was her pursuit of the king. Got it. Makes sense.
Let me get this straight, because I still find it hard to believe. You have Bran, who for the entire show, was built up to be the three eyed raven. Became a zombie that didn't even want to be known as Bran anymore, just the three eyed raven, we're supposed to believe it was all to make him rule? Give me a freaking break. None of his journey was meant for him to be king. "Why do you think I came all this way?" Because someone carried your stupid arse that's why. Yet another character that's storyline was completely flipped on it's head in a way that doesn't stay true to what he was the entire series.
Tyrion tells Jon to kill Dany, but he is the one that get's to decide Jon's punishment and decide pretty much everything. He comes from his jail cell, isn't even supposed to be able to speak, yet he gives a rousing 3 minute speech that convinces everybody that Bra should be king with no debate. Also he decides what should happen to Jon, just to make Grey Worm happy! Yes, let's send the main character off just because that's what Grey Worm wants. Who gives a shite what he wants. Then he immediately leaves! Sansa has an army outside that could defeat the them but she's just like, yea, banish him, that's cool.
Gotta love Jon being cool with being sent off to a place that literally nobody wanted to live and built an army to get on the other side of, they now want to go back. Beyond the wall, a wall that is no longer needed. Very good writing. It's really cool knowing that after 8 seasons, Jon goes to live behind a broken wall, Dany is dead, and a dumb zombie kid is king.
Those are just some small reasons I hated it.

For whatever reason, they changed Rickon Stark to Rickard. Rickon was the father of Cregan aka Wolf of the North.

I think he says Rickon Stark, but I could be wrong. I read the book this is based on, but don't remember.

That's being very kind.
I suppose if we're talking about a commercial pilot not sticking the landing, missing the runway entirely, and crashing into a pre-school while the kids are playing with puppies; it's an accurate statement.

Never got the hate for S7. It was very good and on IMDB with 50k+ fan votes, every episode is very well rated. Hell, i even liked the first 3 episodes of the last season. Its the last 3 episodes that went off the rales.
Right there with you

Nah screw all that. The Targs weren’t that interesting to me and I generally don’t care for prequels all that much. Oh and frick that whole universe after the last few seasons and GRRM simply refusing to work on the actual story.

But this is supposed to be like 200 years before GOT.
Same for the Targaryens
So there's probably going to be a few names in this show that sound familiar from GOT, despite the 200 year difference in timelines.

I know could you imagine if the ruler of England was named Elizabeth or if the king of Spain was called Felipe or a Harald in Norway
