Great episode. Curious as to what they're going to do with Jorah.
Also, I was a tad underwhelmed at Valyria. Not as intimidating as I had thought it would be. In my mind the skies were red with dark clouds, lightening and fire consuming the land with boiling water around the islands that remained. That just looked like an abandoned jungle. I just wish they would have stayed away from Valyria altogether personally.

That is because they took the description of the Rhoyne's abandoned cities and played them off as Valyria, a country/city state that was quite literally subsumed by volcanoes and earthquakes and should look like harbor of Santorini, only still smoking like a Caldera. Hell they could of used the images from Chile if they had just waited til next season.

Why the hell call it Valyria? It's pretty much just as I imagined the Sorrows when reading. They call it Valyria just to get a little book quote from Tyrion and Jorah? Also, Jorah can't take the freaking black if he's dead! Loving the North stuff though. Mel doesn't go with Stannis in the books, but I bet she will be back. Lots of dragons which is always awesome. That's not Howland Reed.

The thing that makes me think that guy was not Howland Reed was the way he said he knew Ned's father before him (or something like that).
I thought that Howland's first connection with the Starks was at that tournament with the Knight of the Laughing Tree and all that stuff. He may well have met Ned's dad at some point (I think that was before the mad king roasted him) but I just don't think he'd make a point of saying that. More like something a long time Northerner from around Winterfell would say.
