exactly. same for Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies.

Jamie Lee Curtis is a prime example of a "Butterface".
Smoking hot body BUT from the neck up rather MEH....although she's shown herself to be a very level-headed person and is now embracing the fact she's getting older and the hair actually turns gray, wrinkles happen and gravity is truth.

I wouldn't say Butterface as much as I would say average. She looks like an average woman, not beautiful but not ugly.

I hadn't seen it until recently and loved it.
They either did a bad job promoting it or I just wasn't paying attention when it came out. I remember thinking that it looked like some dumb kids version of star trek, but it was not that at all. It's style of comedy was right in my wheelhouse when it came out (and today).

Btw, whoever was the casting director deserves an honorary Oscar.
Every different piece of the character puzzle fits.
When I first saw it, was flabbergasted they pulled this goof/spoof off.
Then after a few viewings, realized they hit a home run....that is timeless.

I can't praise this movie enough
ETA: Alan Rickman was gone way too soon.
ETA2: I love the story of Tim Allen becoming emotional when confessing to Mathezar that he lied to them and Alan Rickman said something along the lines of "I think he just discovered acting"
