Fred Willard, the clever comic actor who played clueless characters to perfection on Fernwood 2 Night, Everybody Loves Raymond and as a member of a great ensemble in several Christopher Guest mockumentaries, has died. He was 86.
Willard's agent Michael Eisenstadt confirmed his death. No details were immediately available.

One of my favorites. This really saddened me. Let out a audible “Oh no!” When reading the title.

Damn. I had no idea he was that old. Thought he was in his 60s.

I have all of the Christopher Guest films on DVD (don't judge,I like having hard copies) and I haven't pulled them out in a while. I'll be binge-watching tonight.
It is becoming increasingly rare to say of an actor "oh yeah, he's great in everything." I'm not saying there aren't actors today you can say that about, but it is a rare talent that seems to be getting rarer.
Fred Willard was great in everything.

So many great roles from him. This year has definitely sucked already. Even had himself an episode of Community

Get Smart, 1968
Fourth thing he did
Found this in his wiki...
His film debut was in the 1967 exploitation film Teenage Mother. Willard later reported that the audience at one screening of the film booed when his character interrupted an attempted sexual assault of the female lead character.
