Frasier doesn't get enough attention on here

I admit that I was a big time hater for years until I sat down and watched a few episodes. Now I watch like four a night on Hallmark.

The interactions between Frasier and Niles always get me, as do the usual "misunderstanding" gags like when the new station manager thought Frasier was gay. Don't find the dad or Daphne to be funny, unless Frasier or Niles is playing off them.

I still don't like that it beat out Seinfeld for all of those Emmys, but a great show nonetheless.

Niles is one of my favorite TV characters ever.

I love when they start bringing in Daphne's family. Anthony LaPaglia was awesome as Simon.

Oh, and Roz

I always enjoyed the show. Love the theme song.

I'm curious as to how Fraiser is perceived by those who feel Big Bang Theory is just a standard sitcom dressed up to be about smart people.

I'm hot. And foamy.

Probably the funniest line reading in TV history. It's a great show, but it kind of defies analysis. It's funny, but the show wasn't exactly about character development or plot twists. What are you gonna say about it?

"I thought it was funny."
"Me, too."
"Ummm...."
"Nice talking to you."

To that point, they don't even bother to segue between scenes and will sometimes just end an episode right as some major event happens.

Would you consider Frasier one of the best spinoffs?

That's not the only thing around here that's fruity and precocious

It was great when they focused on the Niles-Frasier interaction. I didn't care for the Niles-Daphne storyline. I wish they had gone in another direction.

Creator David Angell was killed on 9/11, BTW. His plane hit the North Tower of the WTC.

Fraiser is turrible and should never be played on TV

Definitely. I would put the Jeffersons above it, but that's all I can think of offhand.

It's up there with The Jeffersons, Lavergne & Shirley, and Joanie Loves Chachi.

One of those is a joke.

One of the best written shows since Barney Miller.

Grammer and Hyde Pierce had the best timing, line delivery ever. I'd put them up there with Jack Benny and Johnny Carson when it comes to comedic timing.

I enjoy BBT, but I think Frasier feels much more authentic than BBT. I believe that Frasier and Niles are rich, highly educated, country club types way more than I believe Sheldon, Leonard and Raj are Physics PhDs. I'm not saying BBT is unbelievable, just that Frasier was way better at hitting the mark they were aiming for.

I'm 27 and I love this show. Hardly anyone in my age group that I'm friends with has ever seen more than 5 minutes of the show, much less actually likes it.

Before they started reconfiguring the late night A&E and Lifetime programming schedule, I would watch Frasier every night before bed from about end of high school all the way through college.

I'm a year younger than you and that's exactly how I got hooked on it, through syndication.

Before Frasier, it was The Drew Carrey show every night.

niles and sheldon are very similar. in fact, that's how i sold BBT to my dad who loved frasier. i said sheldon really reminded me of niles.

i like both shows (i know liking BBT on here is kind of a sin) but frasier is a way better quality show than BBT.

I wish they had gotten Niles and Frasier's backstory straight. Sometimes they went to an elite prep school, other times they were the nerds at a public high school. And frankly, Martin was the weakest part of the show. Blue collar Marty marrying their mother and producing Niles and Frasier didn't ring true (I realize it's just a sitcom )
