I just wrapped S1. Might start S2 this week.
There are a lot of seasons, just wondering if it is worth the commitment?
I'm assuming it is pretty good since it went for so long.

Some of space drama was a little ridiculous like throwing a cylinder of fuel at an lunar module and a girl catching it. But it's been a good watch.

Just finished S1 last night myself. i find it to be a pretty good show to fall asleep to.

Wasn't blown away so might skip to something else and finish it up later. But curious to the boards response as well.

There’s a S6 in the works and there is a spin-off just released a few months ago from the Russian perspective called Star City.

For All Mankind eventually moves more towards the internal drama of colonization instead of the space travel itself, and many regard that storyline as not as good as the beginning, but I enjoyed the show.

Star City is more espionage than space exploration, but I also enjoyed.

Later in the show they missed the chance to put Holder and Linden back together.

Yo Linden.

This is a reminder that I need to use your Hulu login and go finish The Killing

From time to time I holler out Yo Linden to the Mrs. across the house. She doesn't laugh because she hasn't watched the show, but I get a chuckle out of it.

Joel Kinnaman is good in just about everything I've seen him in. Definitely the best character in S1 of For All Mankind imo.

Agreed, and because For All Mankind stretches out over decades, there is some good growth to his character.

Star City, I believe, is going to span just in the beginning of the space race instead of stretched out.

Who are they?

I will say that the whole lesbian/gay thing was just unneeded a making it such a focus.

Also, that account is Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Unlimited. No ads for Disney and Hulu.

They are characters from the show The Killing, played by Joel Kinnaman and Mireille Enos.

Btw, Enos has a part in Sugar. I just finished the second season and I really enjoyed it. Colin Farrell is terrific in it. It’s a sort of noir private investigator storyline with a twist.

OK The Killing. Yeah that was a great show. That was a longtime ago. Good memory. She was in the final episode of Sugar.

You’re talking about the engineer? Continue watching and you’ll get it. It’s there to show the sign of the times and sacrifices made to put on a public front.

It’s similar to all the closeted gay actors in Hollywood at the times that played leading men, but had to hide their true life.

I think they are working on a drastically reduced budget. Hopefully the can end strongly in the final season. I read they recently finished filming it.

Loved the first few seasons, but started to lose interested with S4(?). Havent seen the latest season yet (S5?).

That’s my own personal bias though as I like historical type shows/movies, including alternate reality, over most Sci-Fi’s.

There is enough good in there to stick it out. There will be some eye rolling moments along the way.

As someone mentioned, first three seasons were about space exploration. Last two seasons were mostly about colonization and they are not very good. Joel Kinnaman as Grandpa Simpson is lit.

Thanks for the inputs.
I'll stick it out and see how it goes.

We are on season 5 now. It's pretty good. Not super realistic, but entertaining for relaxing and watching.

I just watched S2 ep1 and I enjoy the alternate reality. The plug in electric cars in 1983, was funny. But I can't believe Molly Cobb was dumb enough to go out during the solar storm to get her partner. I don't know why she took here radiation band off. That didn't make sense. That whole seen was dumb.
I didn't like Tracy and Gordo splitting up.
