Project Free TV

This is where I watched seasons 1-4. It was so nice this past year getting to actually watch it on TV

Will do.

5.5 came out almost a year after the first half that is why.

Right, but the DVDs were released as "the fifth season" and "the final season."

But it's all good...I have all of them now. I figure if I watch them straight I should be done around 12:30 or so. Looking forward to the next nine hours. 13 episodes left.

I love that the timeline on this show isn't "real time." Just now in S5 he said that it was one year since his diagnosis. So it's cool when a show can tell its own story and not have to keep up with real time.

In this to watch S5 unfold for you. You should definitely take a break here and there (I know it's tough) to give us an update on your thoughts along the way. enjoy the ride

I'll start by saying Breaking Bad has ruined television for me. I do not watch TV much as it is but enjoying Breaking Bad as much as I did, I get the feeling that nothing will live up to it.

I've since tried Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy. Meh. Struggled to make it through the 1st season of each and. I've been told to watch 24 and Prison Break. Never watched either.

Like some of you I used Netflix to roll through the entire show in just a few weeks. Never spent so much time watching the tube and probably won't again.

BB was one badass show.

Now for a quick question......Why did Marie like the color purple so much? Everything in that woman's house was purple nearly.

Go start Boardwalk Empire

I know I'm in the minority as after watching Breaking Bad...

I've enjoyed BB, but I still think Boardwalk Empire is much better

- I don't think they've said who actually called Hank to warn him about the brothers and their attack. That seems to be a forgotten thing...I am hoping they address this at some point.

Gus tells/taunts hector Salamanca about him being the one who warned Hank in one of the later season 4 episodes..

I've noticed that she's almost always wearing purple.

Just started E7 of S5...Walt just made his "empire" move at the end of the last episode. Mike is retiring, but I really hope he isn't done...I think he's my favorite character.

I hated the marie is a clepto side story, it seemed to serve no real purpose

I didn't hate it, but I wasn't crazy about that. It seemed a little forced. Although Marie was important to the overall story, this was one of the weakest points of the show. I get it - I get the juxtaposition, but I didn't like the execution.

Well, frick. I could see it building toward Mike dying but was hoping it wouldn't happen. Goddammit.

Just finished the first episode of the last half of season five. I'm surprised Hank and Walt came face to face already...I'd have thought that would come a lot later. Interested to see how the last seven eps play out.

*spoilers below for the guy earlier who isn't caught up, even though cokes already said it in the post above*

After waiting sooooooo long for the 2nd half of S5, when Walt walks to his car, stops, and turns back around into the garage, and hank shuts the door, I think my jaw was on the ground.

You and me are in the same boat brother. I can never waste another minute of life on bullshite TV now. Finding myself listening to podcasts that make me laugh or talk about oddball things that I wouldn't normally read about. Play em in the background while working or on the rant.

Yeah that was great. I did think Walt was gonna turn into the badass but he ended up playing the "my cancer is back" card. But my adrenaline was pumping when Hank closed that garage door.
