Doesn’t change the numbers moron but here, since all you’re allowed to consume is propaganda, swallow it.

James Gunn's Superman lost an estimated $42 million during its theatrical run. The film grossed $615.8 million globally against a $350 million production and marketing budget. Because theaters typically keep roughly 50% of ticket sales, the studio's theatrical net fell short of breaking eve

marketing budget

if you add in marketing budget, you need to then include ancillary gains like merchandising.

it also became profitable after its theatrical run.

Sorry you don’t know what you’re talking about

IMBD.com (you know we have Google, right?)

A new report indicated that 2025's Superman was a major financial success for Warner Bros. James Gunn's Dcu has an increasingly bright future thanks to its first theatrical movie, Superman, becoming one of the biggest movies of the year. While earning fantastic reviews from critics and fans, it also did what it needed to do in terms of dollars and cents for its parent company.

Superman reportedly generated about $125 million in profit margins for Warner Bros. Variety reported this profit margin for Superman just over eight weeks after the movie debuted in theaters worldwide on July 11. As of writing, Gunn's first solo movie for the Last Son of Krypton grossed $613 million globally,...

I'm sure youve got some incel movie nerd you follow that will argue with the good people at Variety on whether Superman made a profit. I, however, get my facts from reputable sources. So don't bother. You've been schooled and I'm dropping the mike.

And the first thing that pops up on google is that it lost $42mil. Thanks again for proving your dishonesty.

Your Forbes article literally says what what I've been saying, that studios make profits off ancillaries lol

Whether Superman will ultimately end up making or losing money, though, is yet to be determined, since Warner Bros. will earn money from premium video on demand, streaming video on demand and other revenue streams, including dollars earned from licensed merchandising.

lol keep moving the goal post all you want but just like everything for the past decade when movies perform like SM did they die out because they aren’t financially viable. You can keep playing semantics and citing “the imaginary revenue stream” and you’ll continue to be wrong like you are for every major release.

Always the same attacks and I’m always correct. Except for Godzilla vs Kong a New Empire. I didn’t get that one right but that’s the only one I’ve missed.

You're quite the defensive person. All I did was ask you for proof it lost money. You then posted an article saying they're not sure what it'll make lol

And you were given proof with the numbers to back it but you didn’t want proof because you’re a liar. This sad attempt is just another lie

Lol. It's OK almost no one likes him.
And how did i know that a thread on a trailer would be mostly posts from the few who don't watch movies and only listen to YouTube reviews.
The whole last page is him and Kaiju.
"OH I'm tired of liars" motherfricker we are tired of you. You can't tell an opinion from an a-hole. Madking is like the Debbie fricking downer of the movie board. Just shits on almost everything without seeing it.
Go on call me a liar. I don't give a frick. We all know the shoe fits for you. Your basically just a troll who doesn't realize he's a troll.
If you disappeared no one would notice the absence of posts. There would be no "where is madking" posts. I just hope you aren't this sour and off putting in real life and this is just your e persona. Because you fricking suck.

Where is this proof you're talking about? I read your link - you literally made up the quote in your post. At this point I'm just embarrassed for you.

Even going with the $308 million before taking the other expenses into account, Superman’s net falls below the $350 million Warner Bros. spent on the production of the film and marketing.

It’s right there in the Forbes article.

After pvod and licensing deals I can see it getting to the net profit figure of $125mm

Doing some selective math and ignoring the conclusion of the article he linked is very, very different from the "quote" he provided. If you're going to argue on here, making up quotes to try to prove your point is not the way to do it. Like I said - embarrassing.
