- Bayou La Batre shrimp boat scenes were filmed in South Carolina
- University of Alabama was filmed in Los Angeles and South Carolina
- Alabama state capital scenes were filmed in Georgia.

Identity Thief with Jason Bateman takes place in Denver. Clearly filmed in Midtown Atlanta. There was an establishing shot of St Louis, that was literally Chattanooga with the Arch photoshopped in.

No country was filmed in west Texas around the same time as There Will Be Blood … both productions set up not far from Marfa

Friday Night Lights the show as filmed in Austin. Love they did that. There was push to film in LA.

For shows with such an explicit setting, both Cheers (Boston) and Frasier (Seattle) were filmed almost 100% at Paramount Stage 25.

I was in Tyler, TX last week and then we watched a bit of this over the weekend. While Tyler is different than your regular idea of TX, nothing in that show resembled ETX.
there is an extreme difference in the scenery when you get east of Canton and Athens.

all the pretty horses was filmed near San Angelo (my hometown) and it was a big hullabaloo when Matt Damon came in to eat at our most famous Mexican food place.
