The military just magically showing up? Like oh you couldn't hear the helicopters and tanks storming your neighborhood? And the fact that mexi/indian dad still won't treat walkers as dangerous? WTF was he thinking that dude was going to do after he ATE HIS DOG? "Hey come give me a hug?"
And what are the odds his truck would be one of the only vehicles to not get destroyed in a night of riots?

If this ever happened the Libs in Cali would all be zombies and the rednecks from the South would all be in 4 X 4's having a hell of a time zombie hunting.
I was thinking the same thing when they stole the shotgun. Rednecks would go to their closet and grab their bug out bag, AR, full load of magazines and go to town shooting zombies.

Anyways, im getting more and more into the show. Definitely some annoying characters at the moment with cliff and frank's way of thinking, but i keep reminding myself they dont know wtf is going on with these zombies and they are liberals from cali. Im thinking they will figure it out soon. I really like daniel and madison. They know what's up! That alicia chick is

Travis is such a fricking pussy. I hope he dies

I'd like to break out a 308 or 270 myself, but I'd wait a while before I rushed into one of the most populated places in the usa, realising when someone dies they come back. That would be horrible decision making.

Got it to go where the good hunting is.

Probably been discussed, but I couldn't believe the dad's truck was left unharmed after all the toppled vehicles during the riots.
Posted on 9/14/15 at 8:04 pm to abitabrewed4LSU
Yeah they were flipping vehicles over and burning them but his truck only has slightly cracked windshield.

Billions of people in the world, in the ZA if youre wanting good hunting,..just stay put. It will come to you..take the time you can to be smart and prepare. Maybe in a Fortified two story brick house to start off in, in a small town neighborhood. Board it up, knock out the stairs and live on the 2nd floor. If a house is near you..if close, have a makeshift bridge to its roof.
Not get on the road with limited supplies heading into a war zone where you will be fighting the living and dead. Actually, You know what..have at it.

I still kind of dig the show. Of course there are going to be people in denial. This is a world where nobody had ever heard of a zombie.
Yeah me too. My main problem w the show is that they seem to be assuming a lot of liberties because most viewers have seen TWD for 5 seasons.
I'm sorry but I dont' buy a lot of the crap they've shown on this series for being 2 days into a ZA.

It's more than 2 days into it.
Things have been happening and now the shite is hitting the fan in a city known for its panic.

I haven't read the thread yet, so I'm sure these things have been mentioned.
I am still liking the show a lot, but man there is a lot going on that is just pissing me right off.
For starters, people are rioting and flipping every vehicle they see, yet ole boy's truck is unharmed. So maybe he just parked far enough away from the bullshite, and that could explain it. Okay, fine.
I simply refuse to believe that these parents are this fricking stupid. Especially Travis. So you've already seen your virtual-stepson's friend get hit over and over by a truck yet stand up with bones sticking out of his body and try to eat/attack you. Then you've seen similar things happen on the street when you went and got your son. So celarly you know that something is WAAAAAAAAAY wrong with these people and they are trying to eat/bite other people. So what do you do when you see your neighbor in your house eating your dog? You run right the frick up to him and get face to face with him? Get the frick out of here, man.
And the mother still not telling the daughter about exactly what is going on is some of the wrost parenting I've ever seen. I'm glad she finally got to see the neighbor lady zombified so she can actually realize how serious this shite is. Although she went back to that house by herself and that could've maybe been avoided had Madison told her what's up. And I won't even get into how ridiculous it is that they forgot the shotgun shells...that's why they fricking went over there in the first place.
Okay, so you're in a dark house with Zombies walking around outside...matter of fact, let's call them "sick people" instead since that's what everyone probably thinks anyway. So sick people are lurking around outside and staring at things. Do you think it's a good idea to shine the brightest flashlights out of the windows? Don't think that might, I don't know, attract these things to come closer or attack the house? Be smarter than that, people.
And I'm still not sure what Madison got those drugs for. Sure, you want to "ween" your son off the shite, but all he's doing is sitting there begging you for more drugs, which you give him anyway. What a fricking enabler.
What was the deal with that maze thing in the neighbor's backyard? That didn't bother me, I just thought it was weird.
I still don't get the traffic...I've always heard how bad LA is with traffic, and that's on a normal weekday, but the fricking ZA is happening and these people can just zip around like so much volleyball? GTFO.
And the plan has always been "Pack up all the shite and as soon as we get there, we will peace the frick out." But now, Travis wants to wait out the night?
And randomly, the fricking military shows up just in time to save the day? I assume they were just doing sweeps of neighborhoods and happened upon Madison's place? That seemed a little odd.
Daniel is 100% right about this family...they are weak. Travis doesn't like guns, the son is a drughead, the daughter is oblivious (thanks to the mom), and the mom is in denial about pretty much everything. In the ZA, this family would be one of the first to go.
I know it seems like I hate a lot about this show, but that's not totally true. I do really like it, but man are the main characters making some amazingly stupid decisions over and over. Also, I assume their plan to "go to the desert" means some specific place in the desert, maybe like a house or hotel or something. Because "the desert" is not only a gigantic place to try to randomly meet up with someone without a predetermined destination, but it's also void of a lot of water and animal/plant life to eat, which are, you know, kind of needed to survive.

It's la man lol. I can say that for a few of those points. People are different, the sight of guns make some sick out there.
To me, seems there is a lot of denial going on. I think that when more severe consequences come from bad decision making, they will be forced to think differently or die.

But how severe does it have to get?
They watched as their son's friend got run over multiple times and literally had bones sticking out of his body, yet he kept getting up like a machine and trying to attack/eat them.
They've seen people get shot upwards of five/ten times and completely ignore the shots and just keep coming.
They've seen people be laid out from a wreck only to come alive and attack/eat paramedics and cops.
They've seen their neighbors do the same thing. Even as far as one of them coming into the house and literally eating their dog.
Not to mention that when they look into the eyes of the zombies/infected/sick people, there isn't life in them...they're just icy blue-ish and bloodshot, all while the body is doing the things I mentioned above.
Those are some pretty fricking dire consequences.

Exactly the reason the Salvadoran doesn't want his family going with them. He's smart. That weak arse family will end up being the death of anybody they latch onto.
In this case there isn't strength in numbers. Just a clusterfrick of issues to deal with. Flying solo is the best option.

This is one of the things that bothers me. Didn't it take time for people to "change" in TWD? Weren't they surprised as hell when Shane got up zombified right after being shot by Rick! But here in the prequel everyone is changing right away.
I can live with it because if it did take time this show would move a lot slower but still...
Oh, and Ruben Blades and Madison are the only characters I like. Everyone else can die for all I care. Except the eye candy I guess.
