Soldiers will eventually be outnumbered and get overrun. You heard on the radio in the truck that States of Emergency had been declared in 11 states already, so the military will get spread thin. Also, soldiers will only decrease in number over time while the walkers will increase in number.

El Salvadoran barber knows how to deal with shite. Will we see him blast his sweet wife after she dies and turns?

All I know is I'm ready for the Spanish daughter to get pounded by the younger son. The white daughter will find some Tyrese type guy later in show to satisfy her hunger for BBC

This thread is full of koolaid. This show has sucked compared to TWD.

I don't think it is as good either but I'll give it a chance to develop.

I'm actually enjoying it more. I like TWD fine but this one feels fresher. They still have some hope (even though we know things will go to hell in a handbasket for them) and it's good to get a break from the endless slog through misery that TWD can be sometimes.

I like the premise. It is a much needed fresh perspective on this universe. But the execution is lacking in places. This show needs a badass. I guess the barber will pass for one, but he feels expendable to me. Not sure he makes it out of this season.

I just noticed, none of us actually mention the characters by name: Old Asian lady, Old Asian man who is probably dead now, Mexican chick, Barber guy who gets it, White girl who likes dark meat, Liberal anti-gun wussy, Druggie kid we all want eaten, etc.

Though I liked this past episode, we're not getting emotionally involved enough to learn their names.

So true.

I really only know Travis and Alicia?

Mainly because he had to start listing the names to the military haha

Jenner explained at the CDC in Atlanta that the military got over run. There was to many infected to control.

The season 2 first episode was supposed to show the military on the ground in Atlanta fighting and how they got overrun. It was even going to show how the guy in the tank died, but they went a different route with the season 2 opening episode.

I hope no gets their hopes up about the druggie kid being gone any time soon. He is clearly being set up as the main character - a tragic anti-hero who will beta his way through this world. He will deal with his addiction and probably even get some people killed but every now and then he will pull something off in the nick of time. He is a mainstay.

I think one of the parents buys it before the season ends. Probably the Hispanic ex wife.

Agree about none of us bothering to learn the character's names. Not a good sign for the show. The audience is not connecting to the characters and becoming invested.

I only like the barber guy so far. The show would instantly become GOAT if he (barber) stumbles upon the zombie Kardasian compound and takes care of business.

This makes me wonder why survivors in the other show never utilized a dog as a lookout/alarm!

I guess some are struggling with accepting a different group in the same world, but I've got most of the names down. Travis and Chris/ Madison, Alicia, and Nick. I bet if you look at the Walking Dead threads 4 episodes in you had a bunch of Asian runner guy, abused wife, and guy from Boondock Saints with crossbow references as well.

Which will be when they figure out you don't have to be bitten to turn. It'll be a total moment for them.

Can't afford to get too emotionally involved with anyone during the zombie apocalypse (or on GoT) as they could be dead at any moment.

Because a barking dog would only attract walkers.

This is true to a point but it's only been 3 episodes. It was easy to get attached to Rick in the first few episodes of TWD because he was pretty much the only character in play. With FTWD you have multiple family members playing big roles right now. I'm interested to see how all of the characters start developing in the ZA world. I think Madison will end up being the most Rick-like character. She already seems to understand what you have to do. Travis is a fricking moron and would be dead already if this shite were real. The Salazars are about to have to make a real shitty decision. The dad is all "you have to kill them right away" right now but we'll see how he acts when it's his wife. Last nights episode really stuck with me because there's no place to go but down from here on out. The military presence may provide some false security for another episode or two but we're not far from some real apocalypse shite going down

I worry about him moving around outside. He basically looks a walker and could be shot on sight.

One question I had and maybe I missed it but why didnt the dog turn once he was bit? They focused in on his eyes and they appeared normal.
Sorry if this been discussed.
