I don't even remember them, but I looked the old "Night Belongs to Michelob" commercials after I read an old Kubrick interview where he said how good they were. They're incredible at setting the mood that Michelob used to be associated with and used 80s music to perfection:

The TMNT Pizza Hut avert is easily a top 3 childhood pick because of how good it is and becausd you knew you were about to watch an incredible movie.
As for film ads on VHS tapes, I find the Batman Diet Coke commercial to be just as good. He drives a black car
The art of the commercial is dead. They used to be 20 second films. Not they're absolute garbage and have no effectiveness outside of a very very small few.
80s network promos were also a work of art. Paul Thomas Anderson's father was the best as ABC's guy. The best one I remember and one my favorite promo ever was for the network TV premiere of Star Trek III during the 1987 NFL strike:
No football this Monday night

Talking old commercials. Last night the commercial "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?" played on one of the major networks. That commercial was playing when I was a kid back in the early 70s.

And I totally forgot they had a 60-second version:
“Don’t ask me....I bite”

That commercial is so ingrained with Christmas as a kid for me. Also the ones where Santa is riding the slopes in the electric razor head.
