Since M. Emmet Walsh just died, he should probably be at the top of the list. Blood Simple, Blade Runner, Little Big Man, Serpico, Straight Time, The Jerk, Harry and the Hendersons...the man did it all. John Cazale seemed to be in every great movie of the 70s: Godfather I and II, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, and The Deerhunter.

think Lee Marvin would have been terrible for that part. When Rambo said "Murdoch... I'm coming to get you!", Marvin would have told him to bring it..

Yep. I watched The Delta Force last night actually and was picturing Marvin in the Murdoch role. He was too alpha.

Side note: The Delta Force desperately needs an Honest Trailer.

He was solid in A Time to Kill as well.

Had to look up his name, but James Cromwell is fantastic in everything he's been in

Yes.

These are the topics I love guys.

There is no right or wrong answer.

Y'all are crushing it. I still want to toss up Gary Cole again, I think he's one of the best. Very recognizable, but not usually leading.

Good stuff all.

and we are all for the better that Marvin did IMHO. Napier was the perfect casting for that

I don't watch a lot of rom-coms to be honest.

What would be some of the top seeds?

M. Emmet Walsh is a damn good one. I honestly thought he had died until I saw him in The Righteous Gemstones.

Gary Cole is simply one of the best there is hands down. to see him go from Lumburg to Reece Bobby, to NCIS, to whatever he was int he movie Cockblockers - the guys is a riot - and lets not forget him in Dodgeball.

I watched Payback (Mel Gibson 99ish) the other day and Devane was excellent in it.

Cole was a finalist for Crockett in Miami Vice. He ended up getting some smaller roles.

I did not know that. it is hard to imagine anyone other than Don Johnson in that role, but i think Cole could have pulled it off.

and I will 2nd Cromwell (or 3rd it) - the dude is just such a damn good actor.

This is what I'm talking about sons.

Toss in some Brady Bunch too. Also played in Psych, which is always a bump for me.

Here is Cole's Wiki

I don't know if John Leguizamo is "B", but I think he's great in everything he touches. His acting is sincere.

I think I've seen maybe 3-4 of those. That would be a good one to get out my wheelhouse a bit.
