Just make it about Brian and Dom's sons. Keep it street level and I will watch for the cool cars and races. I don't need more launching cars into space.

The “Fast & Furious” TV series, first revealed to be in development earlier this year at the NBCUniversal upfronts, is closer to reality. Peacock announced Thursday that it has greenlit a new scripted television series based on the franchise.
Vin Diesel, who revealed that a “Fast & Furious” scripted series was in development during the upfront presentation in May, is an executive producer along with One Race’s Sam Vincent (One Race), Original Film’s Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty, and Jeff Kirschenbaum and Chris Morgan Productions’ Chris Morgan.

If they could somehow incorporate all of those 90s JDM cars, I'd watch.

It’s about time we got a tv showed centered on family.

Brian's son visits his uncles shop and family in LA for the summer. The cousins get into to some hijinks. Make new friends. Form a crew. There's a rivalry over a girl. Tensions build between the cousins. There's an outside force that poses a greater threat that they've overlooked.
They come together, solve the problem at RaceWars. Ends at a bonfire at the beach scene.
There. That's the first season plus badass JDMs.
It's the OC with fast cars.

When do you shoehorn in the Nuclear submarine?

well you see, Tej's son (that we've never met) is in the Navy. Dom tells them to go pick him up at the end of the final episode of season 1, he's walking off a nuclear sub with a duffle.
ETA: His mom is Suke. So he's Blasian and Gay (Navy). That's like 5 DEI checkboxes in one character. We can go buckwild now.

If Hollywood could fumble a movie about a day walker vampire who wears leather, carries a sword and fights other vampires, don't hold your breath this will turn out well.

Crazy that the first movie came out 25 years ago, and they are still cranking out media from the Fast and Furious universe.
