The Rise is Skywalker is the best sequel and the fifth best of the movies behind the OT and Revenge of the Sith.

TFA was a good start and only now looks bad because of Little Rian (dude is 5’6 and a buck 30) throwing out JJ’s outline. And yes JJ did have an outline.

This movie is good. Better than TFA, TPM, and AOTC.

All blame for the faults of the Disney Trilogy fall at the feet of Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy.

And Laura Dern. frick Laura Dern.

He had 6 months less than he did with TFA. I kind of wish they would've postponed it, and gave him some more time.

It may be better than some of the prequels, but to qualify this film as "good" is a laughable notion.

That's a low bar, sadly.

You have an odd obsession on insisting that this is somehow a good film. But I get it - it pandered perfectly to you, hit all the right "nostalgia" buttons. There was a space battle, some blaster action, some comedic droid beeps. That's all it takes for some people these days I guess.

I swear to god, I feel like some people haven't really watched these movies at all. They are taken way too seriously by a bunch of whiny fanboys who think they know the "source material" better than anyone else.

Somewhere around the time Episode I was released everyone forgot what these movies are supposed to be; campy, funny at times, serious at times, great special effects with an utterly ridiculous premise for a story at it's core.

If you enjoyed Star Wars as a child, grew up and lost that sense of child-like wonder and are unable to enjoy these films for what they are then I'm not sure what to tell you.

Real question. What did you want to see out of this film? If you could have a "Cs perfect Star Wars film". What would that Star Wars film look like? Not flaming. I'd like to hear your ideas.

I have no idea why Disney was so inclined to release the new trilogy so quickly.

Releasing 3 movies within 4 years is just asking for disaster

I don't like the creative decisions that were made in this film. Almost every single one I disagreed with. It's why I hated TLJ - killing Snoke, ruining Luke, Rey's parentage...it's all the same thing here. I hate almost every single creative outcome in this film.

But this is all subjective, I get that. Some people may like the decisions that were made. Fine.

But to me, that's not why it's a bad movie. It's a bad movie because it commits the same errors as other bad movies. Poorly edited, mindless plot, rushed, structural issues, bad pacing. The film has no time to breathe, no time to develop anything. It's a whirlwind that doesn't let anything develop. It just rushes from one scene to the next, and then just ends.

JJ invalidated the entire redemption arc of Anakin. bullshite. He didn’t save squat. Here’s George from the past providing the reason why Palps returning is just hot garbage.

This is actually agree with you on. Doesn't mean I didnt enjoy it for what it was though.

Im not saying its OMG 10/10, its not. This trilogy is still a huge disappointment as a whole but there were a lot of things to enjoy in this movie and I had fun with it.
