I was shocked they showed that too

In the book Fabrizio owns a pizza shop in either New York or Jersey. He gets shot at the shop while Michael is taking out the heads of the other families.

Fabrizio's role in the novel is much the same, but when Michael has all the Dons of the Five Families killed in 1955 he sends a man to Fabrizio's pizzeria who executes him. This ending was shot for the film, but was cut from the final release. Instead, it was re-introduced in the made-for-television The Godfather Saga, taking place during the time frame of the second movie.

Just because a movie or a channel shows xyz doesn’t mean that they support xyz or tell you to go out and do xyz. It’s just part of a story that they are trying to tell. So Apollonia gets blown up in a car. So AMC/Godfather is saying it’s ok to blow up car with a woman in it? No, it’s just part of a story. Just like when I watched breaking bad, I didn’t run out and buy meth equipments at Home Depot.
