He comes across as incrediably arrogant and he has gotten an air of george lucus about him: surrounded by yes men.

That would be badass!

That's why I'll be checking this out. I love anything historical even if fictionalized. Unless it loojs like crap like that recent Pompeii movie.

One of my sadest days ever was talking to a girl about the Ottomans and after 10 minutes, she says "wait a second, your still talking about furniture." She makes 100k more than I do.

Looks like way too much CGI for me.

Same here. I miss the days of cartoonish animation spliced into the movie and little models of things. I like my space ships to have strings holding them up.

You sound kind of obnoxious TBH. I love history too but it's nothing to get worked up about

I feel like there's no way this is going to be anywhere near as good as "The Prince of Egypt"

Im chill. Sorry if I got a little harsh but I get in arguments about history all the time. Almost got in a fistfight over the term "the dark ages" once. History is my singular all encompassing expertise that I'm better at than 99.9 % of the population and I protect that ferociously lol

well use that ability to #subtlebrag and read the next comment before trying to talk shite

you're certainly in the lower 5% of the population in internet posting

I normally love epics like this, but for some reason, I have absolutely no interest in seeing this one.

how many times do we need to watch the same damn story?

I'll watch it at some point for one reason only. The parting of the Red Sea. In the preview, that scene looks epic.

Anyone that argues about the Dark Ages ferociously must get laid non-stop. Surprised you have the time to read history books.

I had a sliver of hope for this film, but until one of the posters here goes to see it and gives their review I'll wait.

So...what was the argument about "The Dark Ages" that nearly came to blows?

I think that film is the best the Exodus story has ever been portrayed on film. It really takes the story in a direction it's never gone before and completely glosses over the shite everyone over the age of two already knows. Turning the plagues into a dark musical number about the two conflicting brothers rather than dragging it out I thought was a great idea.

It's a real tragedy Disney did not make this film since I think it's largely been forgotten, while it wouldn't have been if Disney made it. Michael Eisner should have listened to Katzenburg and let him do this movie, and instead not allowing him to make this movie helped lead to their now biggest rival in Dreamworks.

Nothing says epic biblical movie like two white guys playing Egyptians.

Charlton Heston played Moses and Judah Ben-Hur.

For me, it's the fact that they're advertising this as a war movie and the fact that Moses looks nothing how he should. He looks like a badass warrior instead of a humble shepherd. I can understand going that route in his younger form before he flees Egypt, but when he returns he should be a humble and rather quiet shepherd. Moses is well known for being introverted and not being a great public speaker and let Aaron do most of the talking for him. To me it really seems as if they're going completely against the character.
