I’m ABSOLUTELY for it if they can do a completely new story - while leaving out the obvious DEI storyline (and I understand it was done at the height of Hollywood thinking they HAVE to do it).

You know that it is far more likely they will double or triple down than do what you suggest, right?

Whatever is reportedly happening on the animation side (really Pixar) and Marvel, there is no movement at all on Star Wars/Lucasfilm. They can't even afford a full reset on the Star Wars side because Favreau has already reportedly said no, and I don't think they can afford to give him the budget AND creative control to fix the mess.

I think back to the firing of Carano and that must have been over Favreau's objection - she was the best thing going for Mando at the time. Ironically, she could have been the top of a "girl power" pyramid in an organic way that the fans might have accepted.

Filoni ain't the answer, fellas. Neither is Daisy Ridley or Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

It’s probably just your typical Disney headline where they hint or announce something that will never be made but they throw this out there as a positive story to stay in the headlines.

Do what you should have for the first season. Keep Vader out of it and have obi-wan doin secret ninja shite behind the scenes to protect Luke.

Boring

Star Wars theory had the guy on recently who was writing the movie before it got handed over to the woke female witches. That’s what we need

So much of what was going on is already covered by Rebels. If they can do justice to the build-up, the duel with Maul would be a great bookend.

You guys really lose any semblance of rationality when you claim Andor isn't a good show.

Maybe hire someone who has written and directed a tv show before, b/c whoever did season 1 looked like that was some kind of high school senior project level of writing and directing.

Maybe try to not make stupid decisions that contradict the already established movies that are in the future for these characters.

It's a stupid concept to do a season 2 though. Obi-Wan is a hermit. Him going out on adventures off world seems stupid, or even having adventures on the planet he's supposed to be watching over Luke seems stupid.

If you want to re-enact Darth Maul bringing Ezra to Tattoine and finding him and Obi-Wan killing him, that's somethign I'd be interested in playing out in live action, with a emphasis on Maul and Ezra as more of the lead of the series than Obi-Wan.

I’d like to see more adults bumbling around while chasing toddlers.

That was super cool.

Not just any adult, you're talking about world class Thespian, Flea

See that word there in bold? Don’t know what that means? That word allows for the possibility that Disney will create a good show. Bc of the half-dozen Star Wars shows Disney made, Andor was good.

Andor already proves they can make a new good Star Wars show haha.

It's not like they made Andor 20 years ago, they just made it.

Leave it where it exists now, as an idea. I have zero faith of something good coming out of an already disappointing season 1.

Andor was made awhile back and was ignored so the show runner had freedom to make a good show. Like Picard season 3 they left people alone, didn’t bother them with messaging and all that crap so the show was good.

End thread.

If done right I’d love to see this. But for fricks sake just make it about him and his role in protecting Luke.

Protecting Luke from what?

Vader and the Palpatine have no idea he exists in this timeframe, surely you can't make a whole season out of Luke getting into it with some raiders.

No idea dude. Whatever threats they want to thwart on tatooine. Can even be a much smaller scope show. My kids and I have enjoyed to varying degrees a lot of the shows like obi wan and book of boba fette that so many super fans seem to hate. Between those and the Mandalorian seasons/andor I’ll watch whatever they want to make this one as long as it’s not like the acolyte, that was just terrible.

LOL @ the Skywalker Saga being "over"

They're gonna be having "new" Luke, Obi Wan, Darth Vader, and Yoda stories for decades.

Star Wars is gonna become the Simpsons. The glory years at the beginning followed by decades and decades of garbage.

Um no

Are u arguing with yourself now.

The dude said there was almost no hope Disney could make a new good Star Wars show.

I pointed out they already did with Andor.

You said that was a while back.

Now you admit there haven't been any significant changes at disney since Andor.

So to sum it up, you agree with me this is the same Disney that already created a good show, Andor. So how can someone say there is almost no hope of them creating a good star wars show, they already did. It's called Andor.
