We desperately need The Star Chamber.

I think you have to be a child of the 80s for that one. It was on cable all of the time early 80s.

Blue Ruin ..... written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier (Green Room, Hold the Dark, Rebel Ridge) is one of my favorite revenge films
Just watched this and it sucked. I didn't even feel like there was much revenge to it.

I saw Altered States in the theater when it first came out.
Which version of The Heist. There are at least 5 of them.
I've seen the 2001 version with Gene Hackman.

That's kind of the point. It's a more realistic view of what revenge is like compared to your typical movie. It's ugly, gross, people make mistakes, and it's relatively pointless and just leads to more suboptimal resolutions.
Jason Pargin does a good job of explaining it

Prisoner of War (2025). Very much like a 90 martial arts/action B movie. Having said that, acting isn't terrible, plot is basic and decent, but the action sequences are extremely well done. I think it's worth checking out if you just want some mindless fun

The Stunt Man
A Bullet in the Head (not the Stallone film, imagine John Woo directing The Deer Hunter with a Hong Kong cast)

Murder by Death. All star cast and I still find it humorous.

Yea some folks dont connect with it but considering its got a 96% Fresh tomato score with critics and 80% with audience I'd say your opinion that it sucks is in the minority.
