the eyrie would seem to be a reasonable fallback position. i think that the actor who plays robin arryn was confirmed to appear in S8, but i might be wrong

Has anyone picked up on the 2 different discussions Lord Yohn Royce has had with Sansa that were interrupted? In Episode One it was interrupted by Tyrion and we couldn't hear what Yohn and Sansa were discussing. In Episode Two their conversation was interrupted by Daenerys and they were discussing the Bloody Gate at the Eyrie and whether to keep it open or shut. Is this part of an escape plan by Sansa that she isn't sharing with the rest of them? What could it mean? What are Lord Royce and Sansa planning?
I swear some of you don't even listen to/watch the show. They were literally discussing when to shut the gates at Winterfell.
-"Once the last infantrymen are in the field, we should shut the gates."
-"Keep them open as long as you can. There are still people coming in from the countryside."
These absurd conspiracy theories, I swear...

You have to ask yourself - who has any significant role after this battle?
Good chance that either Jon or Dany (but not both, I wouldn't think) dies. I think there will be few, if any, survivors among Jorah, Greyworm, Brienne, Pod, Dondarrion, Tormund, Theon, Dolorous Edd, Lady Mormont, just a ton of folks that won't have much role in the wrap up.

Yup, you nailed it. A few "big" characters will die, but it won't be the slaughter everyone thinks.
My money is on:
Brienne
Theon
Grey Worm
Jorah
Dolorous Edd
Beric
all biting it this ep, but that's it.
Theon will achieve full redemption by saving someone.
Beric's purpose for being alive will be revealed with some act he commits during the battle.

the politicians will survive
the warriors will not
the warriors will not

I'd add Varys to that list

This is a source material divergence, anyway. This may potentially be a spoiler, but since we're speculating, Dondarrion is dead in the novels, well prior to this battle, because his was the "life" was traded for LSH (Thoros would not revive her).
So, in the novels, Thoros is alive and Dondarrion is dead. In the show, it's opposite.

Which makes me think he goes out reviving someone. He was given the power in the books. In the show he has obviously been "kissed" by the LoL.
My money is on bran

He's also loosely associated with the Lord of Light sub-cult of Lightbringer (so was Stannis).
While I'm increasingly of the opinion that Dany is "Lightbringer" (being metaphorical), there is still the possibility of a literal manifestation of a flaming sword at a dramatic moment.

Can you at least take the time to edit the title appropriately for an “official” thread?
This episode is too big for this hackish behavior

I don’t think this should be the official thread. It’s garbage.

I’ll start it if it doesn’t already exist

I mean that's still quite a bit. Fairly certain itll be more than that.
I'd add Pod, Gendry, Lady Mormont, Varys, Tormund, and possibly The Hound and Bran.
Nothing left for Pod and Tormund to accomplish. The Hounds story you would think would end by him killing his brother but I could easily see him passing that on to Arya to do. Have her finish the job for him. Bran is a boring zombie and I'd be fine with him going just so he doesn't take up any more screen time.
I have drank the theres going to massacre in the crypts kool aid though.

When do we get confirmation that Tryion is the bastard son of a Targaryon? Was able to approach the dragons in the crypt. Mother died at childbirth...
Kind of thought, that needed to be revealed pretty soon.

It's not a common opinion. Buts it's a pretty reasonable imo.
My buddy who has never been on a movie forum/reddit has had this theory for a while. He sent me a huge text about it during his reread of the books.
I would have never thought of this if it wasnt for tigerdroppings.

I dont want Lady Mormont to go but I can see it happening.
Not sure about the Hound, like you said he is destined to kill his brother. If he goes, will Arya take his face to do the deed

I'm ok if Arya kills everybody. The more redemption Arya gets the better. She deserves it.
But I hope she's done using faces. I e said it a lot but I dont think she should have the powers to do that. She never finished training and shouldn't have the abilities. O well. I'd rather her look them in the eyes and they know who's killing them.

She drank from the fountain/pool/well thing in the house of black & white.
When she first showed up to the building for the faceless they show an old dude drink from the fountain & die. Towards the end of her "training" Jaqen H'ghar had her drink from the same fountain.
I figured this is where she got her magical, face swapping, voice altering, height changing SUPAH powers
