Holy fricking shifting of the goal post man. the box office, that has yet to happen, has literally nothing to do with you posting shite about a movie that has not been released. you started a thread about reviews saying it is not good, was proven otherwise and then decided to pivot to the Box Office numbers to try and keep your narrative alive.

and ftr - you are mocked because 95% of everything you post is negative, pointing out all the shite about a movie that has nothing to do with the discussion at hand, and do not really show any rational ability to make up your own mind, and instead rely on youtubers to make the decision for you.

Right. Often, but not always.

FT views were from 3 separate early screenings.

What's the point? The MCU told its story. Its magnum opus is complete.

While I agree it should have ended, and what is produced now mostly sucks, they have still produced some cash cows post-Endgame. No studio is walking away from that.

Spider-Man: No Way Home - $1.926 billion
Deadpool and Wolverine - $1.338 billion
Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness - $955 million
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - $859 million
Guardians 3 - $845 billion
Thor: Love and Thunder $ 760 million

This is just ticket sales. They make a ton off the licensing deals.

It'll open between 70-80 mil, IMO. I think this could have better legs though. CA was a very average film.

Between 65 and 75 is what I read but who’s the audience? These aren’t the Thunderbolts so comic fans of the Thunderbolts aren’t gonna come. The characters aren’t known characters, you’re not gonna have fans show up for Ghost, Black Widows sister and fake dad or John Walker, who’s great BTW, because nobody watched their stand alone shows/movies. You have a Bucky contingent but they’re not going to see him be embarrassed even more. So who’s gonna go see this? Maybe it’s good and has legs but I highly doubt it based on leaks. Saw a fight scene today that was cringe. I think the entire doomsday storyline is doomed and hopefully these bombs will finally be the shakeup we need to correct this BS.

Again for the billionth time. It's not blaming the messenger. It's one guy who watches very few movies or shows but shite tons of YouTube. Gives constant opinions on shows he'll never ever ever watch.
I like to read reviews from people who consume the actual media.

Early reviews (such as they are) have been very positive.

It's the first movie (not including Deadpool & Wolverine, which barely counts as an MCU movie) since No Way Home that I'm seriously considering seeing in the theaters because it just looks fun.

As mentioned above, it’s basically the MCU version of Suicide Squad. Which were enjoyable. (I liked both) Not too much to invest in , varying degrees of interest or knowledge with certain characters… should be better than iron heart, but maybe not quite as popular as fantastic four. We’ll see.

The crazy thing - the way the MCU operates, this thing struggled to turn a profit. Not because it didn't sell tickets, but because (like all Marvel movies now) it was so freakin' expensive.

Another reminder that this was co-produced with Columbia and Pascal and distributed by Sony. Disney/MCU was a pittance compared to what they take when it is all them.

Another reminder that they have to split the ticket sales with the cinemas - very roughly 50% comes back to the studio. They're not moving much merch with these newer films, so that secondary source has dried up. They don't make anything in streaming (because it all goes to D+ which is a money loser, to date - just imagine if they could offer it to the highest bidder of Netflix or Amazon, right?) They do make some decent secondary money with in-movie advertising and a few crossover deals.

Too many money sinkholes, lately. All the D+ series (that's MCU and Star Wars, frankly). Most of these newer MCU films are just money pits as well. The "overspend and it will work itself out" culture at Disney productions is making even relatively decent box office performers look like losers (e.g. Thor 4). Sure, the Marvels was a stinker all the way, but it was doomed from the beginning. It would have had to do $700m to $800m to break even and that wasn't in the cards.

Thunderbolts was a little cheaper, by all reports, but how much? Will that matter?

How could anyone wanting to read a review of Thunderbolts not love a video podcast of a guy driving home from a movie theater?

How many films do you have to have seen to come up with recycled drivel such as "I feel like I've wasted my time. I don't think this movie likes me"?

Or a guy complaining that joke is played for and as a joke.

These are your most knowledgeable guys? Even if the film ends up bad, these guys sound dumb.

You should know by now these people are liars and only exist here to shill for Disney. How many times in a row have they been wrong? Yet they’re saying the exact same things again using the same tactics again. They’re bots, NPCs or whatever you want to call them but they’re 100% dishonest.

And they’re infinitely more knowledgeable than you so what does that make you? Retarded maybe giving you too much credit.
