I only watched this show on and off as a kid, but my memories of it are pretty solid. Is it something you could watch through now and enjoy?

The concept of the Wonder Years is eternal. It can apply to all of us because we all went through those awkward, magical, hilarious & tragic moments in our lives.

I rewatched it about 10 years ago. It is very good but falls off a bit in the last couple seasons. They were better actors when they were younger.

Sometimes they go too long.

Young Sheldon is cringe as he gets older.

Kept hearing good things about Young Sheldon, but as he's grown, seems the charm has faded significantly.

Most tween-adolescent years are hard to watch under the best of circumstances. For an awkward genius who didn't have many friends, hard to keep that 'fun and light', I'd imagine.

Sheldon goes from precocious, innocent genius to someone you’d like to slap the crap out of

So it’s basically something
true to life then?

Absolutely.

I rewatched it about 8-10 years ago and it was excellent (I was in my 30s), and not just for nostalgic reasons. It holds up really well still.

I did a partial rewatch with my teenage stepdaughter a few years ago and not only was it still great but she loved it too. IIRC we got through most of S2. So not only did it still hold up for me as an adult but it also still very much appeals to kids these days as well.

Wonder Years holds up...so does Little House on the Prairie.

Nostalgia and wisdom tends to get better with age.

Yes. We watched it a few years ago with my high school aged children. Everyone enjoyed it.

When it came out originally I was in middle and high school. I thought the dad was a grump and jerk. Now I get him.

The pilot is great. Like a mini movie.

Unpopular opinion: the Wonder Years remake was good too. The first episode lays it on too thick that black people had it hard, but then it leans on the kid stuff. Don Cheadle is a good narrator and his family are all likable and fleshed out.

Kevin’s sister, Karen, is an insufferable character.

I would think it does, but just remember that Kevin is the show’s antagonist.

It’s been several years since I did a rewatch, but it felt like I disliked the characters more for the way they treated each other. Was still a really good show.

When I rewatched it years ago I was shocked at how much Kevin annoyed me and how much of a whiney bitch he was.

Would still give Olivia D'abo a maximum effort penising.
