Disney's Parent Trap: Worst parents ever?

These clowns had twins but couldn't make their marriage work. What do they do? Move 4k miles away from one another, split the kids, and don't tell the kids that they have a sibling. The parents keep them apart for more than a decade and never attempt to see their other child.

One runs a Vineyard in Napa, has a full time nanny that runs the house
The other is a very successful photographer with a full time butler, and her father who reeks of old money
Both appear to have very strong relationships with the parent they were living with including lots of quality time
I would hardly consider these the worst parents...flawed certainly but not the worst.

I mean, its not ideal, but how would it be any different from a mother giving up two babies for adoption to two separate families?
Or giving up a baby and then keeping another one?
