Disney Hiking Prices Across All Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ Stand-Alone Plans

Here comes another round of “streamflation”: Disney is raising the prices for all stand-alone tiers of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ in the U.S. this fall, as well as for bundles that include the three streamers.
The higher prices, which go into effect Oct. 17, are of course aimed at boosting Disney’s top-line streaming revenue and, ideally, their profitability. At the same time, the Mouse House is leaving the prices of its Disney+/Hulu bundles unchanged, along with the recently introduced Disney+/Hulu/Max combo offered in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery — making them look even more attractive to consumers relative to the pricier stand-alone versions.
Disney, in announcing the price hikes Tuesday, said that beginning Sept. 4, Disney+ subscribers will have access to the ABC News Live streaming channel and a playlist focused on preschool content. Disney+ Premium (no ads) subs will have access to four additional curated playlists later in the fall.
The announcement of the playlist features and addition of ABC News Live seems intended to try to soften the blow of the across-the-board price hikes for the streaming packages. The ad-supported version of Disney+ is rising $2 monthly, to $9.99; Disney+ Premium (no ads) is also going up by two bucks, to $15.99. Hulu with ads will now cost $9.99/month (up $2) and the ad-free Hulu is going up a dollar, to $18.99/month.
Also increasing by $2 per month are the Disney triple-play bundles with Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. (A chart with the company’s updated streaming pricing is below.) In the U.S., Disney last raised rates for the ad-free tiers of Disney+ and Hulu, as well as ESPN+, in October 2023.

Didn't see anything about Hulu Live going up. If so, I guess I'll have to switch to YTTV.

Same. Even if the Disney Star Wars shows were good, it would still be the worst streaming service by far in relation to price and catalog. I don't have kids so it made it even easier to cancel.

Disney + has definitely slowed the content release
Now you are just waiting on movies to hit the site

Hard disagree. I went from paying for ESPN+ and Hulu/Spotify to paying less for hulu/espn+/disney+

depends on if you have kids.
Bluey is the best show on television. The Disney and Pixar catalog is great for kids.
With Hulu it’s got a
ton of shite.
Netflix is probably the best then Disney+ Bundle then I guess HBO Max?
I have Peacock too apparently and if you have younger kids there is a British show called Hey Duggee that’s really cute.

imagine being super mad about movies that don’t exist.

The Hulu/D+/HBO combo for $29.99 is hard to beat. I was just researching that this weekend and I'm about to consolidate. My only question is if it's all in one app or not (like how D+ and Hulu integrated)

SFP with the expected reach around for Disney.
