From the creative team behind the 2025 cult-dinosaur feature PRIMITIVE WAR comes a glimpse into an ambitious new world currently in development. Inspired by the artwork of creator Shaun Keenan and expanded into an original cinematic universe by filmmaker Luke Sparke, this project blends western frontier mythology with a world where dinosaurs and humans have existed side by side for generations. This is only the beginning.
The full trailer reveal, exclusive rewards and more will be unveiled when the official Kickstarter campaign goes live in 20 days.
Looks like this is being made by the Primitive War team

Ha! The Valley of The Gwangi was the first thing that popped into my mind!

I was hoping for Cowboys & Aliens 2

Easy nod to Gwangi.
Also trying to remember a kids book I read set in the *west… dang it.
Betting not many of us saw Primitive War in theaters.
Looks interesting.
*The Enormous Egg seems to fit that bill, but it was New England, not the West. I still think it was another book though.

I feel like the fact that cowboys are RIDING DINOSAURS is getting overlooked a little. There’s ridiculous and then there’s that

Someone’s parents didn’t buy them Dino-Riders and it shows

I’ve always wanted HBO to do a legit Dinotopia series, this’ll have to do

Same with Dino Riders (1988)

The Conflict: Originating from the planet Valoria, the Valorians and the warlike Rulons are caught in a wormhole caused by the S.T.E.P. (Space Time Energy Projector) crystal. The explosion flings both factions back to the age of dinosaurs.
Valorians: Telepathic humans who peacefully befriend the dinosaurs and use them alongside high-tech weaponry to protect themselves and find a way home.
Rulons: Led by the evil Emperor Krulos, this coalition of alien species uses mechanical "brain-boxes" to force dinosaurs into slavery and form an army against the Valorians

Looks fun. Primative War was a really entertaining movie that was exactly what I wanted it to be.

A Utahraptor as a trusty steed would be a massive flex. fricking no one would mess with you.

I remember when the History Channel did a faux-documentary on the discovery of "real" Dragons. 11 year old me thought it was real until the end credits

The guy riding the raptor looks so obviously fake. He’s barely moving while the raptor is wiggling all around

Is this based on a true story?
