Diane Chambers should be included in the Skyler Carmella most hated tier

Sam was happy before he met her and she drove him crazy and back to drinking.
-Grad student of a bullshite degree
She caused decades of trauma for Frasier.
*checked herself into a psych ward because her breakup with Sam started fricking a doctor there and had the nerve to comeback to Cheers with Frasier in tow.
Got back together with Sam to cause another crisis with him.
She loathed working class, yet a feminist who was dependent on male income.
She wrote a play glorifying herself and her time at Cheers while dating a Sam clone, that emasculated Frasier then invited Frasier to watch the thing.
Shelly Long was really incredible in that role.

Long was so good that she was able to make Diane likable, even sympathetic at times. I don't think many could have pulled that off, the way the character was written.

There was one particular episode where Diane wants to pursue her dream of being a ballerina, even though she sucks.
The final shot of her offstage at the Boston Ballet after she learns she was tricked into trying out is heartbreaking. You feel embarrassed for her, and want to give her a hug at the same time.
