She was ok as a small child early on, but teenage Debbie was cringeworthy and not in a good way that fits the show, because Shameless does shoot for cringeworthy sometimes.

I have to ask how old you are? To say there is nothing wrong with a girl that raped one man, tricked another into getting her pregnant and you say there is nothing wrong with her? Where is your moral compass? Or is raping a man okay? I mean as long as he gets it up its cool, right? She is the worst, followed by Fiona and Frank. Ian on the other hand is second best, the best is Carl. He went from illiterate punk to educating himself and going to military school. Think about it.

I liked this show for the first few seasons but I wanna say around season like 4 or 5 it just went to shite.

Yeah thats the part that irks me, they act like dudes would actually want to bang a pudgy ginger.
If they would have left her as an awkward ginger it would be better.

I've never gone from loving a show to hating it quite like I did with Shameless. After about season 4 you realize all the characters are going to do the same stupid shite every episode, none of them will progress, and the writers just try to see what kind of outrageous crap they can come up with for all of them to do every episode. That's the whole show

Lip is the worst written character of the show (I agree Debbie is the most intolerable character). The writers want you to believe that he is a genius that is nevertheless drawn back to his South Side roots, when he's actually just an entitled frickup that the writers chose to make good at math. Any time they choose to make him the voice of morality, my eyes about roll out of my skull.
Also, never forget that an episode ended with Debbie in a commune, pregnant with her rape baby, using up all the hippies' electricity with a vibrator because she had just discovered orgasms. And the creators thought audiences would find that funny, because Frank had to ride a stationary bike to power it up. fricking stupid, painfully stupid.
