Geoff Johns tried to elevate Kyle again during the blackest night event and he was by far the lamest part of it even moreso than Hawk and Dove

Many, many years ago, I walked into my local comic book store to pick up my weekly folder of comics.
The cashier and a customer were arguing over who the best Green Lantern is.
Fat nerd customer turns to me and asks "Who do YOU think is the best Green Lantern?"
I wasn't a DC Comics guy, and I knew very little about the lore of Green Lantern, so I really had no opinion on the matter. But I could tell my answer was eagerly anticipated by the nerd and the cashier.
I said the only Green Lantern that came to mind "Uh Kyle Rayner I guess."
The look on the nerd's face, I think he wanted to punch me.
He walked in the back to use the bathroom or something, and the cashier smiled at me an said "That was awesome. Thanks."
To this day I have no idea why my answer was so insulting/awesome.

Rayner is most famous for having his girlfriend killed then shoved into a refrigerator for him to find later. Led to a lot of screeching in the 90s.

And for the record, I don't care. If two people make opposite predictions and one of them is correct, that person gets to point to the scoreboard. I just don't understand pretending they don't want that sort of discussion when they plainly do.

I still collected for a few years afterwards but between death of superman and that whole circus then this collecting wasn't fun any longer.
BTW having a green lantern carry a fricking pistol is one of the single dumbest things in comics

i hadn't posted in that thread in a month but no surprise the last couple comments are from the usual suspect bitching. And the person that posted box office numbers is the resident box office numbers poster for the board that does that for every movie. So no surprise that guy posted tweets about The Odyssey setting record. That's movie news.
