Not even close in my mind, started as a minor character and made the show in the latter years

George was actually funnier. Kramer was too slapstick but had his moments.

George was the best character on Seinfeld.

All the characters on Seinfeld were great, but to me George was the funniest.

Yeah, Costanza was better. I really like Kramer, but George Costanza probably a Top 5 character in television.

Probably because George is Larry David.

Fun fact, early in season 1, George wasn’t in an episode. He told the producers that if he was ever not in an episode again, he’d quit. He was in every episode for the rest of the show’s run.

According to IMDB, of the 4 main charachters, Elaine is the only one that was not in an episode. Jerry, George and Kramer appeared in all 173 episodes.

George might be a better character if you've seen the show a million times but I still remember watching Seinfeld for the first time in 2003 and thinking Kramer was the funniest thing I'd ever seen in my life.

Kramer was not in the Chinese Restaurant episode. I was thinking the Jason Alexander threat was actually Michael Richards. Kramer was not in that episode bc at that time the character never left his apartment.

Elaine was not in the original pilot. The pilot is so different than the actual show. Seinfeld has a special place in the hearts of most New Yorkers. We love it

Nope. That title goes to Chandler Muriel Bing.

His inappropriate lines at inappropriate times were the best comedy on TV ever.

Ari is funny, but he’s not subtle. Subtle humor is just funnier.

Kramer was the least funny character. Just goofy dumb slapstick. I most enjoyed the Jerry-Elaine banter.
