This is an outstanding show. I binged this harder then I did Stranger Things. Youtube Red is gonna make so much money on season 2 when everyone that free trialed and binged this show has to pay next year. They are damn sure getting my 9.99 next year.

I'm not so sure, I feel like they've hinted at Johnny and Daniel being able to get along. With the return of Kreese, someone mentioned earlier that they can see him taking back over Cobra Kai, but I think maybe he starts his own dojo when Johnny won't let him be a part of it. I don't think Kreese takes back Cobra Kai because that's what the series is named. I think Johnny convinces Daniel to merge Myagi-Do with Cobra Kai to battle Kreese who recruits Kyler and his goons.
One thing I've realized is that we've all been deprived of Billy Zabka all these years. He's been great and is my favorite part of the show. I hope this reignites his career.

I don't think they'll be able to sustain the whole Daniel vs Johnny thing. Either Kreese or maybe even Silver will emerge as the main Antagonist.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this show was. Sure, it has it's cheesy moments, but it is supposed to be that way. Johnny is awesome on the show and easily my favorite. This one easily gets picked up for another season. It will single-handedly bring an insane amount of new Youtube Red subscriptions.

Anyone else get irrationally angry that the tournament kept recognizing Daniel as a 2 time champ but didn't mention Johnny winning the same amount of times once?

Johnny didn't even lose a point his junior year!

It even says so right there on the Cobra Kai website!
The world needs Johnny and Daniel to be friends.
I watched an episode or two on Kodi, but then pulled the trigger on the YT Red monthly and finished the series there because I wanted them to know that this show was worth paying for.

I think the point of the show is to display how everyone is the hero from their own point of view, but can become the villain from other's points of view. It also shows how ruthlessness can turn someone from the hero to the villain. Miguel allowed his emotions and insecurities get the best of him, repeating Johnny's mistakes as a teen. In the match, he exploited his opponent's injury, against his sensei's wishes. This show is about how in real life, there really aren't too many clear cut heros and villains. Our perceptions of others are formed based off of our own experiences, and we often fail to have the opportunity to see things from their side. The scene with Danny and Johnny test-driving the car drove this point home. They both had very distorted views of the other's childhood that colored their perceptions of the other all the way into adulthood. Heck, they realized they actually had a ton in common, and if it weren't for the fact that they were fighting over a girl (who ended up dumping both of them in the end), they probably would have been friends. However, fate just kept throwing them judo-chops. Johnny and Danny had no idea Danny was training Johnny's son. Miguel had no way of knowing Danny's wife had taken his gf's phone away. He was also too chicken to knock on the door at dinner and find out that Johnny's son was only there because he's Daniel's employee and mentee. These subtle lines between who is "good" and "bad" are what make this series so f&%king special. It's the most bingeable show I've seen since "Silicon Valley" and the best new show since "Westworld".
Have an upvote sir.

The third one is be one with the girl, right.
Fourth one.
First one is the classic
Second one is set in Japan
Third one is the attempt to get Kobra Kai back (Kreese starts off down on his luck, an old student helps, all arseholes)
Fourth one is Hillary Duff.

I think pretty boy Johnny may end up banging Daniel's wife.

Yup, my bad.
If they don't do some kind of call back to the animated series, I will be mildly disappointed ;p

I kept wondering as well why they never mentioned Johnny being a past winner but I guess Daniel is on the tournament board and a big time business owner so they have to show him respect. I mean they had never even heard of Cobra Kai until Johnny made the board meeting.

Does Silver and Kreese still own the Cobra Kai name? Could be interesting.

I felt like they were forshadowing some kind of relationship between the two, but never expanded on it this season. Maybe it's something we'll see in Season 2. I mean, she was the one who called him a "pretty boy", convinced the boys not to fight, and convinced Daniel to give him a used car to make amends.

“I could eat.”
Billy Zabka
He really is a pleasant surprise. I think the show would not be as successful if they asked Machhio to do what Billy is doing. Macchio is fine and has his good moments but I don’t think he could carry the show at times like Zabka.

Macchio is awesome. He's playing it up big time. They are trying to make you root against Daniel San and pull for zabka. You are. That means Ralph is doing his job.

I'm conflicted. I was pulling for Diaz all the way until the final. Johnny is awesome though.
