Solid effort. I liked it. It's not all time classic but it's pretty good.

Its got some of the typical sjw stuff but overall it was better than any of the Dave Chappelle netflix shows. Rock is at least still funny.

Directed by Bo Burnham. That dude is branching out a good bit. Directed a film that showed a Sundance, as well.

Love Chris Rock

Is this as good as his old HBO specials?

How come Chris Rock can do a routine and everybody finds it hilarious and ground-breaking and then I go and do the exact same routine, same comedic timing, and people file a complaint to Corporate? Is it because I'm white and Chris is black?

I made the first joke and decided I didn't need to sit through that.

He got real personal when talking about his divorce. I liked that, you don't see that often.

I clicked on the new special expecting this.

Instead, the first 30 minutes is about him teaching his kids how bad white people are.

Tuned out after.

I thought Chappelle's specials were pretty solid. Especially the one with the main punchline centered around Bill Cosby.

Turned it off.

Love Chris Rock but I’m burnt out on the type stuff he was spilling.

I’m glad I persevered through the “hate whitey” crap. The second half was worth the watch.

But back to the “teach my kids to hate whitey” segment... this dude can’t be serious, right? He’s a mega-rich, mega-star. What a goddamn shame that he is trained to assume that everyone sees him as a “n****r”, and that he is staining his own kids with that same loser mentality.

I enjoyed it. Its obviously not as good as his older stuff, but he still had some pretty solid jokes. I did like him speaking about his divorce, because that's the kind of stuff you don't hear from many comedians.

The SJW stuff wasn't awful. That's his experience. Who are we to say that's not how he's perceived. I think its ignorant for us to say that successful African Americans are treated different than unsuccessful ones. At the end of the day this country is still really racist regardless of socio-economic status.

It's pretty funny how overly sensitive people are on this board, while at the same time chastising people for being overly sensitive.

They're just jokes man. Do you really think he makes everything in his house that is white heavy, hot, etc to make his kids think about it first?

I don't think I'm being overly sensitive when I say that I just didn't find it all that funny and didn't enjoy a lot of the SJW stuff.

my blood pressure didn't go up, I didn't get upset. I'm not going to write my congressman or cancel my Netflix subscription. I just starred blankly at the tv not laughing

The hate whitey stuff was just straight out racist, not jokes. The very first joke was about how cops should kill more white people. If he bothered to look at statistics he would see that they already do so not only were his jokes racist, they were based on a completely false premise.

Liberal sites are complaining that his material his retrograde and mysoginistic. Seeing conservatives up and arms that he's too SJW here makes me believe he has hit the sweet spot of pissing both political sides off.

Good. It makes me want to watch it more. Rock has never fit comfortably into either ideology's box.

I honestly don't believe you will like it but I'd love to see your opinion on it.

There are a couple funny jokes but it's mostly just meh
