That just isn't true.
Think of real life cases. Tiger cheats on a 10 at home (Elin) to bang a 5s working at Perkins etc. Hugh Grant cheats on a 10 at home (Liz Hurley) to bang a 4 walking on Sunset Boulevard.
A sense of invulnerability, arrogance, or a desire for self destruction plays more of a plausible role than the desire to "upgrade"

To be honest, I find Angelina to be very overrated. She's hot, sure, but I don't think even in her prime that she would get close to cracking my Top 10.

Angelina Jolie has always looked a bit older than she actually is.
Take someone like Kate Winslet though. She's gotten more attractive as she's gotten older for the sole reason that her looks have finally caught up to her age.

She's 41 now and looks mid-late 40's.
At the time Tomb Raider was released (2001), Angelina Jolie was 26 years old and looked like she was in her mid-30's.
