Jordan talking shite and then CT gets involved as he shuts the frick up. Awesome. He don't want any part of CT.
I love how some get mega easy questions and some get actual trivia.
Spell disguise. English spoken in Australia. 12 stripes on the American flag. Jesus..
I love how shocked TJ is when some people get one right.
Camilla misses the first question and starts bawling? WTF?
It's ridiculous how lopsided some of these questions are still. Largest country in the world (not too hard and guessable but not common knowledge) versus "what does the heart pump?"? That being said, it's always hilarious how stupid these people are.
I find it hard to believe that Swift's people back home think he's smart.
Devyn's boobs are looking nice.
I expect Jordan to wax Swift at this thing. Camilla and Teresa should be a good fight, but I expect Teresa to win since I figure Camilla started crying like an insane person as soon as she flipped the kill card.
They added a rope this time? That is kinda stupid IMO. It gives the faster person the complete edge. That being said, frick garbage arse Swift.
Camilla freaking the frick out as usual, and she ends up quitting. Go the frick home, man. That sucks.

yeah that place sucked dick. weird 18+ bar that no one normal ever went to. ive talked to him before about the challenges and kelly anne and shite. cohutta is the fricking man. if you don't have anyone to root for, root for him.
jesus christ, if you ever dont believe how stupid people are, all you have to do is watch the trivia challenge every year on the challenge. holy shite, these people are retarded. i think there were like 2 or 3 reasonable misses, and one of them was the year mtv started and devyn got that right somehow. every season, i cannot believe this shite.
uneventful episode really outside of that. jordan dominates swift obviously and theresa beats camila like she should have. im really glad jordan won. good story line and keeps good players in the game.

I liked the rope because the game didn't last 2 hours, but thought it was too long. Should have made it shorter so that there was some work to get there

I think the idea was that both runners could get to the ropes and pull against each other. I don't think the producers were counting on Swift sucking so much dick that he didn't even get a chance to grab his rope.

Why wasn't the wall thing used again? They skipped it over it.
Posted on 5/16/14 at 10:37 am to Korin
I don't know how that works...maybe they know everyone's strengths and weaknesses and try to match them up as evenly as possible (like with people in the draw versus who was already chosen).

I'm sure producers tell people which block to turn over, too.

Best moment of the show was CTs walk off card flip

ETA: I wonder if his system is to pick the spot where the last kill card was...anybody care enough to go back and see where they all were and if they've been in the same place twice in a row?

I love how a bunch of dumbasses, after missing easy trivia questions themselves, sit there and talk shite and act flabbergasted when other dumbasses miss easy trivia questions.
BTW, it was bullshite that TJ cut off a couple of the girls when they started doubting that the answers they gave were correct. That is helping them IMO
Besides that, TJ is great hosting the trivia contest. When Laurel guessed that R.E.M stood for "Radio Electronic Music", TJ was like, "Oh my god. That was great. Wow. Did you just guess that? Wow". Laurel was like, "yes" and TJ quickly said, "Well you are wrong" and pulled the rope

It looks like those cards are all stained in unique ways. If you had a chance to look at the smudges and smears on the back of the two kill cards after an elimination, you might be golden for any future draws.
Edit: here's a pic of the cards.

The way they are set up though, people are either 30-40 feet away from the cards (on the bridge) or they are behind the cards if they are in the draw. No one is getting a great, long, detailed look at the wooden boards to look for patterns. Most likely CT has no system, he is just flipping the card and walking off, having no idea what he actually did. He can pull that off since he is considered a very good competitor. He has a 75% chance of the plan working and a 25% chance of just changing his stride, walking up next to his opponent and looking like he is motivated to do the elimination, instead.
Of course, Zach and CT are really the only people, besides Laurel, who could ever pull off this attitude since everyone else is playing scared, or at least with the knowledge that they could easily be beaten.

Btw, Zach is so awful at strategy. He is obviously a favorite, but just like anyone else, he should seek to send in favorites at this point.
He had a very strong draw. Jordan, Leroy, and CT were all in the draw, yet he chooses to send in Swift instead of Bananas
Send in Bananas, and there is a 75% chance that two of the favorites are squaring off against each other in an elimination.
Devyn is probably the least competitive person left, yet she understood that the girls had a very strong draw (Nany, Anneesa, and Camilla). And she chose a solid competitor to throw in to the elimination. What happened? The only person who could have ever challenged Laurel in a long final Challenge was eliminated.
The eliminations have absolutely sucked this season though. Besides Frank-Zito, Cara Maria-Nia, and Jemmeye-LaToya (which wasn't good but at least very competitive), they have all been blowouts with zero suspense.
I love the trivia games and spelling bees though. Bananas won it for me last night when he guessed Dutch was the official language of Australia, but Cara Maria was close with not knowing what a continent was and thinking Gandhi and Muhammad Ali were the same person.

I hate that Camilla went home. I liked her.
Jordan acts like a bad arse but is a small guy. Wtf, really?

You can tell that TJ always enjoys the trivia thing.

Bananas is a master of the political game. No doubt he was doing something sketchy behind the scenes.

I don't think he even needed to get political. I just think Zach was thinking a) Swift isn't cool (by Zach's standards) and b) Swift isn't good at challenges and therefore doesn't deserve to be there. Therefore, Swift should go in.
Of course, in an ideal world, Zach should want to compete in the final against Preston and Swift so he can coast to a win and get $125,000. He's just too dumb to think that way.
And when it comes to sending in guys because they don't party enough, I'm sure CT can tell him what a dumb strategy that is (even though it doesn't matter on this Challenge since the final is going to be a solo event, presumably).
Btw, has Johnny from Portland gotten even 15 seconds on camera yet?

That must mean he is sticking around for awhile. MTV has a habit of giving competitors a lot of air time when they are leaving soon.

This has been a great season so far.
They really need to do an all Vets show...pre-2008. Seeing Brad on the post show was awesome

Thursday was a good night for Brad. He made some good points and was probably the best of the vets on the post-show, along with Mark Long. He came off as a very nice, well-adjusted dude. And most importantly, his inability to spell throne is no longer the dumbest trivia/spelling moment in Challenge history thanks to Cara Maria, Annessa, and Bananas.
Btw, did anyone else think Brad may have gotten hair plugs or a transplant?
