EXACTLY. According to this doc, the abuse allegations against her father magically didn’t come up again in CA’s memories until she was in jail waiting for her trial.

According to the director, CA had no say in the final cut but the lack of follow up questions in some scenes is strange.

Another thing that confuses me is the doc plays up the angle that her dad was a cop and knew what to say to investigators…but this criminal mastermind dumped his victim’s body a short distance from his house approximately 10 feet into a wooded area next to a heavily traveled neighborhood street?

I'm almost finished watching it. So far, I think calling it Where The Truth Lies was a pretty clever dig by the filmmakers, and probably went right over Casey's head...

I was living in Orlando at the time and there was a gentleman/aspiring musician who was a regular at a bar I frequented. Come to find out he was close friends with the family and even appeared on CNN with her parents, performing a song he wrote.

I had some deep conversations with this guy and I'm not a parent (at least I hope not) but man, he had me almost feeling bad for her parents for obvious reasons. Still, if my daughter killed my grandchild, I am not going to say I'd absolutely develop an unforgivable hatred for her but I'm not going to go to bat for her and ignore the facts. frick that. Lock that bitch up for eternity.

I believe something stupid and drunk probably happened. They keep talking about a pool. Probably a drunk pool party. Living her best life while her daughter drowns.

I also believe Nancy Grace and her shrewish reporting got her acquitted. A percentage of women she pandered to think she shits golden eggs. But much of the country hated her.
