It’s on the level of Black Panther, the first Captain America movie and Ultron for me.

I thought it was better than all 3 of those.
That's bait, baw!

Just got out. The movie was meh overall. Very slow and boring at times.

Those movies don't have the luxury of "first female-led" Marvel movie. It turned political and it helped it.

Captain Marvel scored one of the top 20 second weekends of all time. While males continued to make up the majority of ticket buyers (57 percent), the female portion grew slightly from opening weekend (43 percent versus 42 percent), according to PostTrack.

It's absolutely true. I don't expect the same people whose lives were ruined by a fricking movie to agree.
Honestly, disagreement is generally a positive from this group.

That's not me as to CM. I gave it a good review in this thread.

I wasn't talking about Captain Marvel.

This may be the most retarded take i’ve seen on this board.

Don't you have a failure of a Reddit boycott to organize?

Lmao I’ve already said in this same thread I saw the movie opening weekend and it was fine.
I’m sure you think Geostorm was a great flick if you think BR2049 is average.

So when I'm traveling I often throw on HBO and watch whatever is on while working. It's a good way to catch things I wasn't necessarily interested in.
So this was on last week. yeah I have no idea how that movie got made

Hey you leave Geostorm out of this. That’s peak Syfy channel material and I will not have you in here trashing their bad name just to shite talk some liberal cuck!

Geostorm is great. It might not be great for the reasons the makers intended but it's top tier MST3K material that is best viewed while drinking w/friends.

I saw it Friday afternoon and thought it was stuck in the middle of the pack with the rest of MCu movies.
1. Winter Soldier is still the best "movie" of all the MCU so far and it isn't close.
2. Guardians 1 and 2 are above the others for me due to the soundtracks and I just enjoyed both of their lighthearted go at it.
3. Iron Man is second tier with the GOTGs.
4. Ragnorak was second tier for enjoyment.
5. I just lump the others into third tier as I don't think of them as great but not bad either.
I will say this, we watched Into the Spiderverse this weekend and it would be way up there towards the top if it was official MCU.

I liked CM a decent bit but that’s LoFL.
I don’t think BR2049 is a masterpiece by any stretch.

Larson was great. Only complaint is that her running style is a bit janky.
I thought that too but then I realized she was running barefoot on metal plates in those scenes. Figured that was why it looked odd.

I saw it today. I thought it was pretty good - on par with most of the other MCU origin films.
Admittedly, I was most excited for the mid-credits after hearing it was basically a scene from Endgame. That was awesome.

Do they typically do numbers like these for Marvel films? This doesn't tell me anything without seeing the typical gender breakdown of Marvel movie viewers.
I've never seen a breakdown like this for a movie before. How do they even know? Is it based on who buys the tickets? I never see anyone keeping a record of who walked in with me after my purchase.
