Interesting write up on Zero hedge..biased but still interesting. If true there are bots spamming good reviews on RT.

The SJW aspect wasn't my primary concern going into the movie. Or secondary, or tertiary for that matter. I just thought Larson looked like she was on heavy tranquilizers in all the clips.

I really haven't read much to change that view. It will be a movie I catch streaming or On Demand. I will admit I'm looking forward to seeing Pace as Ronan the Accuser again (he was great in GotG) and Mendelsohn as the Skrull leader.

Michael B. Jordan is a quality young actor and is the only reason why Killmonger isn’t the worst villain in the MCU despite having horrible writing for the character. Seriously his character’s motivations were all over the place and felt like they were written by an ignorant 15 year old from Compton. Marvel really wasted two quality actors in Michael B. Jordan and Sterling K. Brown with terrible writing and lazy character motivations.

Don't forget Mahershala Ali was wasted on Luke Cage. Dude couldve played Taskmaster or someone in the MCU. I think Marvel will regret it, considering his recent success.

Or they could just use him again in some capacity. There’s precedent already. Luke Cage is cancelled now and the whole Netflix Marvel universe has never been mentioned anywhere else in the MCU. Ali could easily play a character in a movie at some point and no one would bat an eye

People care way way way too much about the fricking RT score. It was pretty painfully obvious the movie was getting trashed for no reason other than Larson’s comments.

A 7/10 is about what I’d give the movie. A decent, enjoyable flick. Nothing more.

I took my daughter to see it and we both enjoyed it, her definitely more so than me. I didn’t notice any over the top SJW theme, I was entertained for a couple hours so I can’t really complain.

I'll say the same thing about that as I did Black Panther. If your "group" is so weak and pathetic that you need a comic book movie to prop you up you are in really bad shape. Women in America are nowhere near that pathetic, based on the numerous successful women I know and every single girl should be massively insulted that they are being pandered to in such a condescending manner.

Jesus fricking christ you love the smell of your own farts.

People like to see movies where the characters look like them and tend to be more interested in something that they can better relate to. This is nothing new.

There is pretty much zero "SJW" stuff in this. She isn't a man hater. She doesn't have some giant chip on her shoulder. This movie doesn't make a political statement.

She's a woman who wanted to be a fighter pilot in an era where they weren't allowed to fly combat missions and jumps at the chance to help others when it's given to her.

The only pathetic thing is your incredibly weak cry baby melt over shite you've made up in your head that isn't there.

Is it still a flop if it makes a billion dollars?

Yes.

Imagine how much more it could have made if the three white dudes here that she pissed off went, too.

Disney ran 100 times more ads for CM than any other movie in history. I literally cannot turn on the TV without seeing one. Interest will bomb once the easily influenced have been exhausted.

Somebody isn’t old enough to remember every straight to DVD Disney sequel.

You’re so dramatic.

It's going to make a billion plus. China is already showing slow down, but other countries are seeing huge growth.

MCU’s first female-centric superhero, nostalgia tap with the 90s settings, the promise of it being the origin of the MCU (which was a lie but anyways), it being teased at the end of infinity war, and it being the last movie before Endgame all contributed to opening weekend.

Now the question is if it will have legs. No competition until Dumbo so we’ll see.

Just watched it this afternoon.

Good flick. Better than Ant Man, I'd say. Larson was solid after a rough start. Skrulls were some of the best baddies yet. Middle of the pack Marvel film. Has me super hyped for Endgame!

However:

Where was all the SJW and man-hating Girl-Power shite I was supposed to go defensive-fetal over?

This reminds me of when this board saw a brown kid and a girl playing Spider-Man. I was promised a bunch of SJW and whitey-hating scenes. All I got was a single throwaway joke. . .from the white male Spidey.

I think this board should cease freakouts until the movie is actually viewed.

Would end a ton of this foolishness
