Rogue One was poo until the third act.
That's an understatement, but most people love it. The third act salvaged the film.
That shows you how low the bar has gotten with Star Wars.

Well yeah because the third act is what the audience left the theater with. If the first act was great then the final 2/3 was dookie then the opinion would be flipped. People generally hate when movies start well and then go to shite (Gone Girl).

Agreed I don’t think it will go much higher than Infinity War. It’s just so damn hard to do. Plus, the movie will be an extra 15-30 minutes longer which impacts how many shows theaters can do

Which is our point. People are letting an actress affect how they feel about a movie before they even see it

Maybe - most of the reviews from regular people seem to be saying it's "meh" at best. I'll wait and see if people I trust like it before wasting my money.
If anything, Brie Larson's mouth is keeping me from seeing the movie in the first place. Anyone that defensive and insecure about their product doesn't inspire confidence.

I haven’t heard meh. I’ve heard average MCU flick but still enjoyable

Go read the audience reviews and you can see that most of the negative ones are absolutely fake. They're all super generic without any specific details about the film.

Here is another one that didnt even watch the movie
da frick??

Hope it’s at least decent but haven’t heard much good about the plot or the acting , but regardless due to involvement of political/social agendas, I feel it’s necessary to down rate this, movies are about the story first and foremost, they are not a playground for activists. Marvel had a good thing going, but here DC beat them easily with Wonder Woman, a real female lead superhero film. Go watch it again, go watch Alita Battle Angel. Not this or shows like this.

The political messaging is clear. I want to see great art and craft, not the script of Hillary Clinton’s campaign speech.

I thinking about posting some fake 5 star reviews just to frick with these people.
Something along the lines of..
I was a little shocked by the scene where Captain Marvel takes a strap-on to Nick Fury with this only having a PG13 rating but overall I have to say, great movie that is truly empowering for women and destroys the patriarchy!

I just saw it. I didnt like Brie Larson's comments and attitude promoting the film but I thought the movie itself was pretty damn good if I'm being honest. I especially liked the main Skrull character in the film, he had some great delivery. I need to look at who that was and see what else he was in. SLJ was good of course. And I'll even say it: Brie did a good job with the role.

I saw it last night.
I also voted I didn’t want to see it before it came out.
The movie was fine. I don’t like Larson and she was the weakest part of the film, but the writing was good and the CGI was great. Samuel L and Mendohlsen (no clue how to spell it) carried the movie, imo.
I won’t see it again in theaters because it wasn’t THAT good. But if you like Marvel you’ll enjoy it.

Where have I seen that kind of discrepancy between the paid critics and the audience before?
The audience gave The Last Jedi an A.

Intitial fan reactions to the Phantom Menace were overwhelmingly positive, too.

81% WITH shills is pretty bad. Having to do an 11th hour SJW marketing ploy is worse.
