Aren’t most average ratings for MCU movies in the 7-8ish range?

Outside of Iron man and Black Panther most of the origin stories are 6.5 to 7.5.

This board doesn’t care about RT scores and most weren’t looking forward to Captain Marvel

And we have 14 pages for it’s RT score

We can do better than this

Oh look this has devolved into an argument over a score nobody has heard in a movie nobody has seen. Even further the score argument looks like an argument that music is cut and paste, Hole is not relevant enough so just drop in a Spice Girls tune and the movie will be better.

I came into the "real world" in the 80's sure we had blow, hookers, and greed but we were never this cynical. We were too busy trying to win to bother looking in the loss column in the morning. Today it seems like LSU fans get a bigger boost from an Alabama loss than an LSU win. When you live on the tears of losers you will never be a true winner.

there were so many one-hit wonders back in the alt-90s days. They could have done a lot better than Garbage or Hole if they wanted cool obscure songs.

I can think of a certain obscure one hit wonder by The Prodigy that probably would have gone over pretty well.

Who cares. If you like it you like it. If you don't you don't. We're talking a Marvel movie here. Not something going for an Academy award.

Also, that isn't the point. Fatkid is writing off the soundtrack b/c he thinks Garbage and Hole aren't iconic enough while comparing it to the GOTG soundtrack yet roughly half of the music on it is from one hit wonders that hardly anyone could name if their life depended on it.

But we all knew the songs in GoTG. They're all oldie classics. Either you grew up listening to them or you grew up listening to your parents listening to them.

Garbage? Hole? I was born in the early 90s and I don't know a single song from them

I saw the suggestion of No Doubt, which they would be wise to avoid.

There is a 0% chance they don't include No Doubt. You telling me that ska punk crap isnt 90s enough?

So many MCU gifs available and you go with the most basic non-related one

You didn't grow up listening to any of that and if your parents listened to it it was b/c they were teenagers when it came out. Never mind that something that came out in the 70s was old enough to be considered classic rock by the time the 90s were ending. Stuff from the 90s has only hit that age in the last few years.

Well no shite Sherlock. At best you were 10 when the decade ended and were 5 when this movie is set. I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you weren't born in 90 and were even younger when the 90s came to a close.

Incels use cars and pistols.

See Elliot Rodger and Seung-Ho Cho.

You're thinking west Virginians, common mistake.

Are you joking? Every song in GoTG is still played on the radio pretty regularly. I guarantee more people my age and younger recognize " come and get your love" and " I'm not in love" than any song sung by fricking Hole. No song from Garbage will ever be labeled a "classic"

Exactly. They're only relevant to a small age range of people. Unlike the 70s songs in gotg, garbage and hole are stuck in the 90s

Anyways all of this is meaningless. I'd be very surprised if the movie soundtrack isn't mostly 90s pop hits from shite like salt n pepa and TLC and not just a bunch of alt rock shite
