well she got her memories back sure, but she never spent any additional time around humans - she immediately left earth with the Skrulls and only came back after she rescued Tony and Nebula.
again she was gone from earth for many years, infused with the Tesseract energy, brainwashed and manipulated by the Kree - and only found out about being human not long after coming to earth - and then was gone again.
i think it was more writing and direction than acting, no completely absolving her of blame, but she is not the sole reason like people make her out to be.

Lol. These Brie Larson bait threads always do good numbers. But yes, she is irritating and the character and the movie aren't anything special.

There's a reason that they've already renamed Captain Marvel 2, "The Marvels", and they're probably going to write her out after that. But could all just be bull rumors.

I’m willing to give them a shot to turn the character around. Thor was equally boring through his first four MCU appearances. Remember, Loki was the ONLY good part of the first two Thor movies.
For now, there are enough good MCU characters that I can ignore her.

It was poor casting but the writing was drivel. The script didn’t include any emotion for Larson to use. It was worse in Endgame. Just an emotionless robot.

I remember watching Captain Marvel and wondering if they had intentionally done a really bad spoof on how bad Green Latern was, b/c I found the story lines similar and the acting horrible. Then I realized, no, it really was just that bad of a movie.

The director let her, or directed her, to speak with vocal fry. Same thing in Endgame. "Hello Peter Parkrrr."

It’s a good movie, but mostly because of Sam Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn. Brie Larson has absolutely no personality. She was perfect in Scott Pilgrim, but in anything that forces her to show range typically doesn’t go well.

Man I'm not sure how you've liked many of the Marvel movies if you aren't a fan of Vision. Paul Bettany plays a big part in multiple movies.

Not really.
And i don't dislike her because of her politics. If that were the case i would have to hate 95% of Hollywood and only watch those crappy religious movies.
She's just a very wooden actress who generally is the worst part of anything she's in. I rarely believe she's anyone other than Brie in any role she's in and she has no emotional range. Plus i really think her looks are overblown too.
