Are you Chris Evans? If so that is awesome, please do continue. If not,
It isn't like Chris Evans is doing or has ever done much outside of the Marvel films. I get that he may get tired of the role and want to try something new, but odds are, he's never going to land a better gig than the one he has right now.

Right. Sorry but things in their current state, franchises are the way to go. If you land a big, one ride that sucker until the wheels fall off.
Look at RDJ, he was a fairly accomplished actor in his own right, but iron man launched him into a new stratosphere as far as fame and money go. With Cap's increased popularity, he's positioned himself to do the same

That's probably the plan, but I don't see Chris Evans doing much post-Captain America. He's probably type cast at this point.

You could have said he was type cast after Not Another Teen Movie and Fantastic 4 too. I can't remember the name of the movie off hand, but he's in a recent one that has nothing to do with superheroes that he was good in. He's not some great actor or anything, but he can do more than be Cap if he wants.

I'm sure that he has numerous Snowpiercer sequels lined up. He's set.

I finally saw it. I thought it was really good. I felt like the movie had a good, serious setup. Then it kind of fell into mindless fun territory, which is fine. Then it throws you back into serious territory. I heard a lot of complaints about the main villain being a waste. I think in a way he was but I do feel like there were legitimate reasons for both Tony Stark and Zemo to be distraught. I did feel an emotional impact for both characters. More than I thought I would. There are some legitimate feelings in this movie, that are kind of overshadowed by the mindless fun in the middle act. But the middle act was so fricking fun, I didn't give a shite.

Evans did movie recently that was basically a rom com with a pretty loaded cast including Mackie. He was pretty good in it.
The name is escaping me, but there was a scene referencing WWII and Evans was a sailor instead of a solider which I'm sure was on purpose
Plus Snowpiercer was great so he's got star power

This is the movie I was talking about. And now that I'm by a computer and not in between meetings, I looked up the title: "Playing It Cool"

Everything i've seen from Evans is that he doesn't want to be an actor anymore. he wants to direct.
RDJ recently said that the premier for this movie was the first time he saw Evans actually enjoy himself and not be so nervous about it. Evans has said he has anxiety issues. He has certainly been thrown in the spotlight now.
A movie with him and Chris Pratt will make a lot of money.

BTW, RDJ and Marisa Tomei have unbelievably good chemistry together on screen. I noticed that even in the 30 seconds they were together. I think they were in a couple of romcoms together back in the day. I'm not sure what's going on with PP, but I think it's time for Iron Man to get some of that.
Probably not canon, but so what. RDJ will be in the Spider-Man movie. Make it happen, Marvel.

No shite?
Makes sense. Would love seeing them together in the Spider-Man movie.

I wonder how big a role he will have in Spider-man Homecoming.
I hope it's something like Civil War but without Iron Man actually appearing, just Tony Stank.

I would be fine with that. I would think he would be in it less than Civil War, actually. He was just about a main character under Cap in that. I would think in Homecoming he would be there as a mentor type to Spidey. Just kind of appearing in a secondary role.

there has been talk about Evans having a cameo in Homecoming.
Speaking of which did anyone else notice one Bucky's trigger words was Homecoming?

et the bragging rights continue. Only five days after its release, Civil War (read our review here) has already surpassed its predecessor, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in total box office earnings – having now crossed the $200 million mark at the North American box office and brought its overall worldwide total to $737.7 million. The Winter Soldier, by comparison, made $714.4 million globally over the course of its entire run in theaters.
Civil War also boasts the fifth biggest five-day total of all time in North America, behind record-breakers Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($248 million), Jurassic World ($208.8 million), Marvel’s The Avengers ($207.4 million), and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million). thanks to its big opening weekend, Civil War has knocked the former #5 spot-holder (Marvel Studios’ own Iron Man 3) down to sixth place.
Damn. Should Disney send WB some $100s to dry their tears with?
