Did you mean 400? This will easily surpass 300. It'll be around 250-260WW once the international numbers come in today.

They are all watching some Chinese animated film that’s made $1.7 billion so far.

After a strong $100 million start over the extended Presidents Day holiday frame, Disney and Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” crumbed by 68% in its second weekend with $28.3 million from 4,105 North American theaters. The Anthony Mackie-led superhero adventure, which remained in first place on box office charts, has generated $141 million domestically and $289.4 worldwide to date.

It’s not uncommon for comic book tentpoles on the scale of “Captain America” to significantly slide in subsequent weekends. Yet this film, saddled with negative reviews and poor word-of-mouth, fell on the steeper side with a drop closer to “Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania” (down 70% after a $106 million debut) than “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” (down 47% after a $118 million debut). “Guardians 3” endured at the box office, while “Ant Man 3” became one of the few Marvel movies that failed to cross the $500 million mark globally and didn’t break even in its theatrical run.

Rounding out the top five is Chinese-language animated film “Ne Zha 2” with $3 million from just 800 theaters in its second weekend. The movie’s domestic tally of $14.7 million is impressive for a foreign language film, but it’s nothing compared to the business the sequel is doing in China. “Ne Zha 2” has become a runaway smash in the Middle Kingdom with $1.7 billion and counting, overtaking “Inside Out 2” ($1.66 billion globally) as the biggest animated film in history and eighth-highest grossing release of all time.

Pretty much. It's a decent popcorn movie but Marvel/Disney putting out so many stinkers in such a short period has tainted the brand a good bit. FF will need to be really fan... err... I mean.. uhm... well, okay "fantastic" in order to begin turning that ship around.

This movie is tanking hard.

Good performances
OK action
Horrible script
Spotty CGI

This movie was better than Quantumania and Love and Thunder. It probably deserves better than a bottom 5 ranking

It will lose money and then Snow White debuts next month and will lose a lot of money. I feel like Thunderbolts will be good and will make money but not a lot because of characters. That means Disney really need Fantastic 4 to be great, which could happen.

Then we need to just go back to making China the bad guys. Thinking Japan would send its navy against the US was the most unbeliveable part of the whole movie

That is a plot point?

If they were going that unbelievable, they should have just gone with the NORKs.

Japan's Navy is basically what we let them have.

I had to train sailors from their defense force on our AEGIS system, 2 generations behind what we were using.

Just got around to watching it finally. I must say I really enjoyed it. This might be my favorite Marvel movie post Endgame besides No Way Home.

My major gripe is the after credits scene was pointless. It's obviously pointing towards multiverse stuff, but it revealed nothing. I was hoping we'd get some sort of indication towards Wolverine, such as a Weapon X hint, Stryker, etc.

My son wanted to see it so took him and friend. It actually was more entertaining than I thought and I enjoyed it. Sure there was some head scratchers but it wasn’t preachy and moved along at a good clip.

We were sitting there and after two previews I was thinking - WTF is the preview in 3D? I checked my ticket and realized we bought tix to the 3D showing so I had to run out and get the glasses. It actually turned out really good and wasn’t distracting.

Like I have been saying. It is OK.

Not great, not bad.

Not woke at all

The villain really drags the movie down

Or, it.could sugfer the Solo treatment. A decent movie that gets punished because of a soundly despised predecessor.

I kinda liked the callback to the old Hulk movie. And I’ll admit, I love an angry hulk rampage. He’s so overpowered you write yourself into a box when he gets turned loose but it’s fun to watch him wreck everything in his path.

They really fricked up in Endgame. The snap should’ve sent Hulk over the edge and into a rage into a bigger stronger version before Thanos blew up HQ. Having him holding up the building and then busting out of the rubble at some point and give Thanos a beat down during the big fight would’ve been priceless.
