It’s amazing how accurate it is. Even with wives involved…. Some truly crazy times…

But the guys can get crazy at member guests and after the pros leave. Unfortunately too crazy…. We had a guest not make it out this past year

and no one thought to keep the pool chlorinated and serviced. In some scenes the pool is a normal blue, but in some other cut scenes, it noticeably had a green tint.

That’s odd because it’s not hard to keep a pool clear or take long at all to clear it up, if it’s not too bad off.

Not sure, but my guess is they didn’t spend the money to find somebody to do a simple job. Or maybe they didn’t realize the filming would take as long as it did… I’ve heard that the cast and crew did like to party in between shooting, so maybe they just F’d off and we’re too hung over to worry about it.

This is the truth. You are paying for who you do not want to be around more than who you want to be around.

As I’ve aged he is easily the funniest person in the movie.

Judge Smails is the main reason the movie is so awesome. He ties everything thing together and Ted Knight was the perfect casting. The more you read about the making of the movie, maybe we wasn’t acting as much as he literally hated these people in real life Thar being said, the older you get the more you relate to him and realize that he was more right than wrong.

I grew up caddying and working outside operations at a prestigious country club. Its uncanny how accurate Caddyshack is about country club life.

Same. It's basically a documentary to me. The only difference being our Carl was a Carlos.

The Murray brothers grew up caddying. One of my favorite quotes from Bill Murray was that "You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat people in the service industry" Something he learned from caddying.

And if you've caddied, waited tables, been in sales, you know what he means. If I have a business lunch with someone and see them mistreating the waiter, that's a red flag.

Love it. The first season of that show Red Oaks gave me a lot of nostalgia for that era too

Trash people can make what should be an enjoyable experience a complete nightmare: the pool, the beach, a cruise ship, etc.

As someone who just got back from 30A, I completely agree!

Caddyshack was great and still holds up well to this day.

Paying extra money to go somewhere without any riffraff is one of those things people largely knock until they have access to do it themselves.

The extra $40/year for the Sam's Club Plus membership is worth it since you can shop before they "officially" open and the riffraff starts showing up.

CSB but I’ve played the course where it was filmed. My Uncle used to be a member before they moved.

They’ve redone the course since filming so it doesn’t really look like the movie but they did have Al Czerviks golf bag in the pro shop
