This and Superstore were the last remaining hopes.

Superstore shite the bed so bad a few weeks ago that I've got three episodes on the DVR I don't even know when I will watch.

I've been recording Mr Mayor because I like Ted Danson and I like Tina Fey's work. Haven't watched any episodes yet though.

I watched the first 6 episodes on Hulu thinking Fey/Carlock with Danson could be really good. I was very disappointed to say the least. I hope you like it better.

They said they were rethinking the new season after George Floyd's death, so I imagine this won't be great anyway.

I believe they said they were scrapping all the episodes they had written and starting over because they decided it is tone deaf for cops to crack jokes, especially about criminals.

It was quite possibly the most funny, diverse, and inoffensive show on television.

And it’s not like the show portrayed all cops as good. There were plenty of bad or incompetent cops shown.

I have a feeling the ending is going to be HIMYM bad and ruin the entire series.

Personally, this doesn't seem very likely to me. HIMYM was building to something for years and had many questions to answer.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine doesn't really have that issue. It hasn't really been building series long story arcs and revelations. The worst case is it's an underwhelming season, but I don't see any way the first seven seasons could be ruined, even if season 8 is disappointing.

I'd bang Aunt Robin, too.

And so would you. Cobie Smulders is a smokeshow!

Speaking of B99, Melissa Fumero FTW. Me and the wife have been fans of hers since she was on One Life To Live:

She's gorgeous.

Also, if I had to guess the final season, I'd expect something similar to the final season of Parks and Rec knowing Schur and company. Homage to the characters and fans.

Indeed. David Fumero, her hubby, is a lucky dude. They met while they were both on One Life To Live.

I think they do an amazing job of being politically correct without being woke and then making fun of their own political correctness.

They somehow have a gay guy playing the straight man and make it completely inoffensive in any way shape or form.

Love it and glad it’s lasted this long.

B99 could easily serve as a "diversity done right" object lesson.

1. Nearly every race represented - check
2. Their race rarely plays a direct part in the plot (including being white) - check
3. LGBT represented - check
4. Lack of LGBT stereotypes (overly butch lesbians, effeminate gay men) - check
5. Criminals are pretty much every race - check
6. Terry Crews - check

Was Rosa coming out as bi any sort of surprise?

That being said, they did it in such a way that it didn’t change the nature of the show in any way. As you said, it’s diversity done right.

Yep. It's probably a mercy that they're only doing 10 more episodes to end it out. I won't be paying for Peacock to watch this, but if I can get a free trial, or watch for free with commercials, I'll check it out.
