Alright. I did feel like that guy had a complaining tone when he brought that up. Typical journalist is quick to criticize the number of shots fired in that scenario.

I remember this most. Not sure how I feel about that—especially with everything else coming to light these days.

It just seemed to me they could have just told the store in an hour instead of a 3 part series

They somewhat tried a sympathetic portrayal of the bombers. They killed an 8 year old boy, four other people and forever injured many more. I don’t give a shite how hard their life is or was. If you don’t want folks to stereotype certain acts then stop committing the majority of them.

What I don’t understand is, why weren’t they mad at the Russians? The Russians are the whole reason you aren’t living in your home country in the first place. They’re the reason your grandfather is died, all of your problems stem from what the Russians did. Go bomb Moscow. I get it, you couldn’t qualify for the Olympics, but at least you get to live in a free country. Not to mention you could just become a professional boxer if you’re as good as you think. Misdirected hostility like you read about.

Hated the Boston Globe reporter. He is the one who gets to second guess the guys who actually do the work when all he has to do everyday is type. Loved the head cop from Boston.

I remember this thread on the OT and reading it as everything was going down.

I just find it odd that law enforcement expended that many rounds while the younger brother was in the boat.

Terrible tactics

Lap top streaming the police scanner and tracking on google maps, ipad tracking twitter,

This manhunt was the event that made me realize how useful Twitter can be as a tool/resource for breaking news. It was instantaneous.

I knew the supect was arrested via the streaming police scanner 10 mins before the at-the-scene reporters mentioned it live on the major news networks.

Most of them weren’t supposed to be there. You had out of town and out of state cops swarming to be a part of it.

Nothing in Louisiana, you can defend someone else's life. But be prepared for the cops not knowing where that came from to be on edge and make you a target. The downside of not this exact one but let's say a friend pulled a fake gun on another friend as a joke and you shoot him not knowing they know each other and it's them playing, then you are fricked. Went over that in CC class.

I wasn't a lurker on here yet but I imagine the OT thread was going crazy. I like the move5 with markie mark and will have to check this out.

For sure. Just wondering how long I could sit there with all those gunshots and bombs going off if I had a clear shot. Especially from an upstairs window

The FBI knew of these guys and chose to do nothing.

Frick that. In Russian you and your family get tortured and die.

In America you either die a martyr or you get 3 hots and a cot, a sympathetic documentary and a Rolling Stone cover.

I mean, he is in supermax. I'd almost rather be dead. 23 hours a day in a cell, restricted diet, a light you can't control, limited entertainment.

Ramzi Yousef, Terry Nichols, Eric Rudolph, Zacarias Moussaoui, the shoe bomber, El Chapo, Robert Hanssen, etc are his cell block buddies...I didn't know half those guys were still alive.

I finished episode 3 last night. My biggest takeaway was wondering why the POS has not been executed yet.

I just finished all 3 episodes last night. I remember following along on the OT at the time. That was a crazy time with the internet trying to solve the crimes. Even before they were identified, I seem to remember alot of people got doxxed just because they happened to be carrying backpacks in the area.

I don't even remember anything about the guy who was carjacked. He is very lucky to be alive. But because of his bravery to get out of the car and haul arse, the police may have not been able to catch them before they escaped town and potentially hurt more people.

With how many bullets were flying around in between the two shootouts, it's pretty amazing that there were no victims from both the cops and the innocent bystanders.

How in the world did those 1000 police officers in the area completely overlook the boat. Did they just happen to completely overlook that one house in particular.
