Three part documentary just released in advance of Marathon Monday next week.

I knocked out episode one, and damn it’s really gripping.

God bless that one FBI guy’s wife’s reaction: Go get those motherfvckers!

I started watching it yesterday and literally fell asleep after the first 30 mins

It is an interesting doc but I found it pretty boring

We’re liking it. The cops just riddling that boat with bullets was insane.

Spin-off question: when the terrorists were throwing bombs and exchanging gunfire with the police in the middle of the street, if one of the civilians had a clear shot at the terrorists and took it from inside of their home, what would the penalty be?

I'll have to check this out. I remember following along live on the OT during the search, that was intense.

How did that many shots get fired and no one get hit?

Had to cut it off last night with about 35 mins left in the 3rd episode. It is funny how much you (or at least I) forget in 20 years. I thought they caught them the second-day for example.

The amount of video footage and stills LEOs had was unreal, can you imagine how much they would have today?

I also didn't remember they killed the cop for his gun, you would have thought they would have had several guns before the bombing, the chances of being confronted afterward were pretty high. Thank goodness they didn't prepare very well in that regard.

Watched all episodes last night, brought me right back to the manhunt.

I remember I had the TV on flipping between news networks, on the coffee table I Lap top streaming the police scanner and tracking on google maps, ipad tracking twitter, and my phone updating on TD. My wife thought I was nuts, but in my pea sized brain, I thought I was in on the man hunt. I remember the satisfaction I had when they caught him, like I did something. Drank a lot of beer that night.

The gun fight with the brothers was wild, didn't realize the cop and the older one were like 6' apart just unloading on each other. wild times.

He had a point though about the Watertown shootout. It is a miracle no innocents were shot in that.

What was the alternative? Run at the guys with a gun and pipe bombs and baton them to submission?

They somewhat tried a sympathetic portrayal of the bombers. They killed an 8 year old boy, four other people and forever injured many more. I don’t give a shite how hard their life is or was. If you don’t want folks to stereotype certain acts then stop committing the majority of them.

I wasn't offering an alternative.

I was just saying that it was a miracle no innocents were shot.
