The Black Prism series

Super cool magic system, very well written and strong women, some of the best fighters are black/darker skin…

It’s a Hollywood wet dream!

In all seriousness though, I love that series and would love to see it on screen.

I’ll second/third some of the ones already mentioned

Red Rising
Theft of Swords
First Law
Mistborn
Stormlight

underrated. Brent Weeks had the Night Angel Series also that seems like it would be easy to translate to a movie/show.

not nearly as convoluted as Sanderson's series

On a Pale Horse is one of my all time favorite books. Could make a fantastic movie.

First Law series would be fantastic as a series or movies

Red Rising might be impossible to adapt as live action, but would love to see it

I think a high quality animated series for RR is the best. Just way too advanced a world to look good live action.

The Red Rising series

I’m shocked it hadn’t already happened.

David Brin's Uplift Universe

It would take some great production and solid casting. The studio would also have to leave some more modern paradigms, being shoved into media today, behind - and just tell an entertaining version of the story. If they could resist certain urges, it could be a brilliant, captivating, and successful franchise.

Gateway by Frederik Pohl

My 2nd favorite book ever and the 2nd and 3rd are very good. Dont know why this has never been made into a movie, it would be great.

Also second the Hyperion recommendation.

Per the books, Dirk was 6'3" with dark hair and green eyes.

I don't know about the eyes, but I have thought Tom Selleck in his Magnum days would be close.

Red rising
Dandelion Dynasty
First Law

All 3 would be absolutely epic if done correctly

Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. He’s been in negotiations about it but he wants a lot of control

I’m a huge Cosmere fan and this would be a great high budget series, but too much to cram into a movie—even a trilogy.

Plus I have zero faith in Hollywood making anything faithful to any books. Just look at what they did to World of Time.
